The place is good but it feels very dangerous at night. The front desk is good but there are hairs on the bed as soon as you enter. It doesn't feel very clean. There are homeless people at the door. The city is scary after 7pm. Because I was traveling alone, I changed the place the next day.

Helpful staff, charming hotel with lovely central covered courtyard & breakfast room on top floor. Spacious rooms but the windows of rooms face out onto the courtyard so mine was a little noisy as it was near reception. Free drinking water, tea & coffee but no lift. Easy walk to city centre.

Stayed in January 2024. Arrived late and was welcomed with a smile. Rooms are comfortable and quiet since mine looked out into the closed inner lobby. Breakfast was great (two eggs cooked to your liking, fruit, toast with butter and jam, juice, and coffee). The breakfast room has the nicest of views. The square where the hotel is located is lovely but it does get very quiet at night. The hotel is very safe. I did step out after dark, particularly to head to a small backstreet right behind the hotel (La Ronda), which had plenty of cute restaurants. During the day, there is no issue walking anywhere. BTW, there is a metro station (San Francisco) nearby in case you are visiting places located further away (the metro felt safe). The hotel was quiet during my stay due to the bad press around visiting Ecuador but I received white glove treatment from the personnel.

I had a wonderful two night stay here. I used there pickup service from the airport with no issues even though I was delayed by two hours. Even when I arrived at 3am someone was there to greet me at the front desk. Breakfast was great….juice, choice of eggs, bread and fruit. Had filtered water in the lobby for free. I would absolutely stay here again if I’m in Quito.

The rooms and hotel were very clean, and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Great full breakfast included.. Had a nice courtyard area to relax in during the evening.

Hotel Casa Montero is a great place to stay when travelling to Quito. Located in a historical part, everything close by, in walking distance ( market, plazza, churches). Highly recommended to stay. Alexander is a great person and was ready to help with everything.

Excellent hotel. Great staff. Location easy walking to all sites and restaurants. Breakfast timely and filling. Room was large with bed, sofa, desk, chairs, large closet. Hot water shower was great. Highly recommend.

Chambre de qualité, bonne literie Petit déjeuner bien servi : des fruits, du pain, oeufs. Bel emplacement pour découvrir Quito en journée. ( d une manière générale Quito non recommandé en soirée et encore moins la nuit)
