The surroundings are beautiful. The chalet is old, but ok. The food for breakfast and dinner in the restaurant is terrible. Cold meat and pasta and vergetables at the buffet.
The lounge snacks are better, but not open after 18:00

Huge hotel leaning against the red mountains of the park. The view from the rooms is magnificent and the rooms are very large and very comfortable. The breakfast is very good and plentiful. The restaurant is okay. A great place to hike in the park or drive through it.

The part of the national park that can be driven on is relatively small and the weather was unfortunately too bad for hiking. The chalet was well equipped and very clean. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open on the evening of the 24th and the morning of December 25th because of preparations for lunch on the 25th, which we were unfortunately not told about. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good, dinner in the lounge was not very good and breakfast was also less good. I would have liked a note about this, especially because we had specifically asked.

We stayed in a self- catering chalet away from hustle bustle of the hotel and it was an excellent decision. The chalet was comfortable, clean and well- equipped. The sceneray was stunning! It was a good area to do many hike and we had a 7- hour, mother of all hikes, which was tiring but exhillaraing. The park management must do better to mark hiking trails instead of giving the lame excuse that they had a fire LAST YEAR! Our stay at the chalet was an unforttgetably beautiful. We will return!
