Best Hotels in Rathjambugaha, Sri Lanka

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

I arrived at the hotel very early in the afternoon, and I printed the order number (English version) of Ctrip, but it was still delayed for a long time. But we upgraded the room type: sea view room (room 206). The check-in experience was still great. Because the previous nights were reserved for special hotels, I chose Asia Leisure for the last night because it is a new hotel in 2018. It is indeed new and I was not disappointed. Meals: Two restaurants, we ordered food and spent 26,000 rupees, which is still very cost-effective. Breakfast is a cafeteria, and children need to make up the difference. Location: 15 minutes walk from Galle Fort, it is very convenient to go there by tutu for 300-400 rupees. Supporting facilities: The sight of the outdoor swimming pool is great, you can see the sea view and the towering ancient city, because it is located in the air outlet, it is only open until 8 o'clock every night. The types of equipment in the gym on the G floor are average.

It was the amazing place i have visited. Had a great welcome from front line staff. Room is perfect and had a great view. Dinner and breakfast was amazing and very tasty. Breakfast bufet had a wide selection of western and local food. I requested to arrange a birthday cake at the breakfast time and they were arranged a tasty cake with special birthday surprise. Overall can be give 10 out of 10.

We were welcomed to celebrate new year with the staff. Lots of fun games! What a wonderful spot. Such a tribute to the history of Sri Lanka. Our room was incredibly large. We did want to close the shutters, as we were right at pool side. The central pool court is a lovely as all the pictures show. Food was delicious and service was great! Wish we could go back and stay again for a longer time. Perfect location to explore. We biked in and toured around on foot.

Located at the C position in the ancient city of Galle, you can walk to the lighthouse, the church and the barefoot that you must visit within two steps. The hotel's welcome ceremony was very pleasantly surprised, leaving a little suspense. The environment and service are impeccable. The coffee for breakfast is highly recommended, and you can go for food nearby for dinner. When checking out, the butler sent a small cattail fan as a souvenir. Overall, it is highly recommended, and I hope to stay longer next time.

The people are what make this such a special place! The rooms are nice and clean. Laundry available for a very reasonable price which was great for our 3+week stay. Local restaurants, spas and shopping locations all within walking distance. The fort is an incredible location for a holiday! Can't wait for our next visit!!

What a fantastic place! It’s a beautiful old house with spacious comfortable rooms, an amazing collection of furniture, artwork, old prints and photos, as well as an extensive and eclectic library. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful. I needed to see a doctor : in discussion, we decided it would be both cheaper and quicker for me to go to the outpatients at Asiri private hospital- they offered to accompany me. In fact, I went alone and it was a very easy, efficient, and cheap process- much more so than getting care in that situation in New Zealand. There is a pool, the best we enjoyed in Sri Lanka. The food is great and generous serves. We were very happy to have stayed there rather than the centre of Galle: it is in a quiet, peaceful area, and a reasonable walk or a short tuk tuk ride from the historic centre. We couldn’t have had a better experience.

A very comfortable trip, must go to the beach! The beachfront hotel is really the highlight of the trip. Because it is an environmentally friendly hotel, remember to ask for disposable utensils such as toothbrushes from the front desk in advance.

Located a short bus ride from Galle city (number 375) this is a beautiful, tranquil hotel! The bungalows give a sense of privacy, overlooking paddy fields and jungle and are beautifully decorated, whilst the hosts were amazing! My boyfriend woke early and the owners provided very early morning coffee for him at a drop of a hat which he drunk whilst watching the monkeys playing in the trees! Walking to and from the bungalows at night, down a dark lane, allowed us to see a night full of fireflies - truly special moments! Breakfast, traditional Sri Lanka including roti, sambol and dahl, was tasty and well-presented! The swimming pool was clean and inviting! I loved the bathroom which was beautiful with a range of unexpected decorations and accessories, and had an outdoor shower! The owners were welcoming with a smile and we had a great chat with the owner about his children and the education system in Sri Lanka (I’m a teacher)! This is beautiful accommodation, maintained to a high standard, off the beaten track (with good transport to the town) in a tranquil setting and gives the opportunity to relax, listen to the wildlife and forget about the world for a while!
