Charming old pub in the English countryside. We booked the Cozy room. It had everything we needed (except a closet) and was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well serviced. The included breakfast was excellent, in selection, quality and preparation. This is a great pub to sit outside for a drink and a chat in quaint country surroundings. We ate dinner there 3 times and it was always great. I think we tried most dishes on the menu. Parking was a pain due to the tiny lot, they said more free parking was available in the village, but that was equally hard to find and involved a walk (sometimes in the frequent English rain). We will nevertheless definitely visit again and put up with the parking.

A lovely place to stay at when seeing a show at The Mill at Sonning. It is an easy walking distance to go there. Very close to Thames path so great for walking too.

The stay was great bedding and room very clean and welcoming. Nets could do with a clean. The stairs would cause difficulties if you are not steady on your feet. The staff could not have been more helpfull and friendly, absolutely great.

Charming pub, excellent staff. Good food except for fish pie which had virtually no fish in it. Excellent terrine starter and hispi cabbage main course also very good. Beautiful building and charming service. Just a pity about the fish pie!

Everythibg was 10/10 the only problem i encountered was the dinner options, i dont eat meat so Inonly had a couple of options to choose from.

Love this pub, so happy and lucky to have such a lovely pub close to where we live We come here regularly on a Sunday for the roast live the food and ambience There is a lovely walk down through the church leading onto the Thames path which we try and walk every visit it helps walk off the very generous Sunday roast Bit wet and very muddy yesterday (to be expected) but nonetheless we did our walk by the lock
