Rooms at the Inn

Return visit. Great location, lovely rooms, extra bits like a little fridge in the room and high ceiling make it 5 stars 🌟 The pub had live music (Friday night) which stopped dot on 11pm so no problem at all. The booking in process and car parking straight in front of the venue are all great.

Stayed 7 weeks Monday to Friday as a contractor stopped in various rooms all of which were ideal for what I wanted. No issues with noise from the pub as I wasn't there at weekend's comfy beds good shower fridge and well located for all amenities . If I was working this way again it would be the first place I would call.

What a lovely surprise! Our first stay here. The staff are great. 🙏 Michael and Jack 🥰 The room is fully equipped with tea & coffee, iron, mini fan, mini ‘fridge. WOW! I need to stay in Retford regularly… this will be our number one choice. 🥰 So friendly.

Rooms are cheap and it's got everything you need , but our room , number 6 the shower was broken. Water came out scolding hot and you couldn't adjust it, a ***** was with no flannels over a hand basin is not going to be fun in the morning. Mentioned it at the pub where you get the keys from when we got back after a long day out ( we left before pub was open). The lady is getting an emergency plumber in the morning after we vacate the room. On one of the hottest days of the year. Won't be returning.

Apalling guest service. For my 3rd visit (following 2 enjoyable stays) I was allocated room 0. Rooms 0 to 5 are directly above the Idle Tap pub. Music was very loud and intrusive rendering it impossible to sleep. Despite several calls and despite reassurances that the music would be turned down it continued until 00h18. Totally unacceptable and still no apology or compensation and no reply despite calls, many e-mails and several tracked letters. Not a single acknowledgement nor the courtesy of a reply. Shocking, disgusting, apalling, disrespectful and total disregard for guest service and guest satisfaction. I will no longer recommend this property nor give them my custom ever again.

A quick & friendly check in, shown our room & very pleased with a bright & clean looking space, everything looks like new, including a mini fridge which we didn't expect, bathroom with shower very nice, only a few yards to Retford high street where there's plenty of cafe's & good bargain shops, Asda & Aldi within a short walk, if you cut across the car park next to the building you'll find a decent Fish & chip shop.

Really nice rooms, recently refurbished, clean and bright, well furnished and comfortable. We stayed 3 nights and had really good sleeps, except for Saturday when the music in the pub went on until midnight. We were out late so only impacted for 30 minutes or so. Will stay again and would recommend.

Great room and facilities - staff really helpful. Room with tea and coffee making facilities; TV; ironing board and iron; hairdryer; fridge, and small tower fan. HUGE double bed! Loved it there! Well stocked bar with lovely choice of beers, lagers, and spirits. Me and my partner have already booked our next stay there!

Came for a wedding close by and stopped here, what can i say? Gorgeous rooms, they are at great quility and very comfatable. The staff are very welcoming. Love it. I'll stop here every time I come to retford.
