"Absolutely disgusting! Arrived to have noone on the reception for him to be very rude. Asked where ‘on site car park’ was when we paid for it he then continues to say use the 1 hour car park spaces around the property. Then huffs and puffs and gives us 1 spot on staff parking and lied. Falsely advertised then we go to our room and it is an absolute joke nothing cleaned hair products left behind my previous guests hairs in the bed and scruffy walls and sidetables. Didnt even bother to refund walked straight out and booked somewhere else. DO NOT STAY HERE"

"Arrived today went into room cracks on walls inside door hanging of hinges dose not shut unless u lift to shut needs updating straight away refused to stay so left not worth the £57 i paid more like £10 and thats being generous would defo not recommend this place seems more money has been spent on the pub not the rooms never go back i have taken photos of room 4 which i will post tomorrow asked 4 a refund which i expect in 7days and if not will get in touch with trading standers"

"Really disappointing stay unfortunately. Room had a strange smell when you walked in, carpet didn't look like it had been hoovered and was really stained. Toilet seat was broken, we were provided with 2 loo rolls neither of which were full, soap dispenser was nearly empty. We had to ask for another towel as we were only provided with 1. Bar was closed on a Saturday night. Breakfast was continental which would have been fine and we were expecting but was cheap Aldi yoghurts, brown Bananas, sliced bread etc really not well thought out or worth the value at all. Only saving grace were the staff who were friendly. Glad we were only there 1 night. "

"We booked the hotel the night before our daughters wedding, our daughter stayed in the lady Jayne suite (fabulous). Billy is absolutely a top fella , looked after us from the moment we walked in. He went above and beyond with his hospitality and kindness. We enjoyed a lovely meal on Saturday evening and then a cracking breakfast on Sunday morning before the wedding. All the team were fantastic, all happy, smiling and couldn’t do enough to help. Billy even went out of his way to get a signed ‘good luck on your wedding day’ from a local sports personality!! Needless to say we give our whole experience 5 stars !!! Thank you all"

"Would not return as the food was poor and we had to wait an hour for the main course even though the pub was only half full and the waitress was just standing about. Had fish and chips, a small helping, and do not know what the fish was not a common one and had a very strange taste. Could not eat it. Others had dry beef burgers; this could have been caused by being left under a heat lamp for a long time. Would not eat here again.."
