"We stayed here for a family trip and we had a lovely stay. The staff are so nice and can't do enough to help. The owner is Always polite and greets you with a smile on the way in. Which for me staff are important in contributing to a good stay. Room was so clean and cosy and when we had issues they were dealt with straight away. Breakfast is basic but served our needs and we were happy with it. Great value for money. Thank you for a pleasant stay."

"Genuinely the most depressing place. Dirty room, mouldy, damp smell everywhere. The bathroom was filthy and full of spiders, no shower gel, no shampoo. We were on the ground floor and the window locks were held together with electrical wire. The carpet stuck to your shoes. We left after five minutes and drove to a Premier Inn. The place is in a lorry park next to a dilapidated KFC. It’s the kind of place where people rent rooms by the hour of you know what I mean. Plus I saw a lorry driver w@**king in the car park."

"I booked family to stay here as the reviews stated was very clean. Unfortunately I was disappointed the room was dusty along with ensuite. The window in the room was broken so almost impossible to open but finally did manage to get it to open. Downstairs in kitchen there was old food left on the floor that remained there during stay ( 3 nights) . Tea, coffee in the room not replaced so ran out after 1st night. Won't be booking stay here again."

"Firstly the pub is very nice, clean and tidy and the ladies who served us were very pleasant. However I would not expect a 10% service charge to be automatically put on the bill. You would only expect a service charge on a bill for a high end restaurant, NOT a village pub. A tip should be discretionary if you feel you have had good food and good service, it should not be expected in a village pub serving normal pub food, not everyone can afford to leave a tip which would otherwise make this pub a reasonable price and no one should feel the embarrassment of having to request it is taken off if they can’t pay it or do not agree with the service charge. In general the food on our table was good except the lasagne which was extremely thin and overdone. The lasagne is so thin with only 2 pasta sheets and barely any meat so all you taste is melted cheese and it was dried out, and as a result it was unpleasant and not as nice as other places who serve deep lasagnes. We will give it another go at some stage but do object to a service charge being automatically put on the bill"
