First impressions of the pool and surroundings as you walk up to the reception appeared clean and well provisioned in terms of seating, shade and sun beds. Arrived early and Maria was able to allow us to check in to our room. Check in was straight forward with Maria keen to point out the many rules around COVID and expected behaviours. Whilst understandable, especially COVID related, we did find there were lots of rules, which set a subdued tone to how we might ‘enjoy’ our time. The inner areas feel a bit dated and could do with some freshening up. This theme continued when we got to the room, it definitely needs some updating. Whilst the mattresses appeared new, sheets and towels fresh, the furniture reminded us of the 90s, built in square wood. There was everything you needed to make a simple meal - crockery and utensils, kettle, fridge, sink and two electric ‘rings’. Good balcony with comfortable chairs but the painted plastic garden table was perhaps taking the recycling process a little too far with flaking paint every time you moved. The bathroom seemed to have been upgraded with nice tiling and a shower cubicle, which some reviews have already suggested is a bit on the small side - corner entry and VERY small. Water pressure was amazing and always plenty of hot water. Room was cleaned every other day, only downside was this included the bins. If you have visited Greece you will know what this means in terms of the toilet. Was a bit disappointed that this wasn’t a daily task. The pool was a good size with it’s deepest part being 1.5m so very safe. One ladder to get in and out but very sturdy. Small square kids pool sectioned off as part of the main pool. Whilst nice to spend some time there, it was a bit sterile. Very quiet and no discernible bar service to speak of, a fridge with some beers and soft drinks but no one really tending the space. There was an incident with a Lilo - wasn’t sure who it belonged to but it did appear to be claimed by a couple of older ladies after we had been there a couple of days. Obviously couldn’t be sure they hadn’t been there before us, so let sleeping dogs lie. It appeared that they might have left so I used it, and accidentally burst it - sorry, this wasn’t intentional - but I was wrestling it like an alligator trying to get on . Sorry if this caused any inconvenience or upset after we left Good location, very close to beach and plenty of restaurants, easy 15 - 20 minute walk into the old town, noisy with the hustle and bustle of life in city, however, it’s pretty lifeless around the pool area.

Perfect location for the beach, restaurants, shops and old town. Maria and her staff all very friendly and helpful. Cleaning was excellent, towels and bed linen changed regularly. Highly recommend for a beach holiday.

The location was great and close to the beach. The rooms/hotel are basic but clean. Staff was nice. It was a good way to stay in Rethymno that saved money and allowed us to do other things.

Stayed here recently. Although the apartments are basic, the are spacious, really comfortable mattress with air con and ok wifi. Shower is very small, had to get out to shave my legs! Cleaned to a high standard every few days by a lovely lady. Agapi on reception is the most kindest ,helpful person. She booked taxis and restaurants for us and recommended great places to eat. Had a good chat with her most days and felt that we had made a genuine friend. Always welcome to stay with us if she comes to sunny England😁 Location is really good. Less than a minutes walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk into the old town. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby and Fresh Corner on the front is fantastic for good sandwiches and the best freshly squeezed orange juice. People in Rethymno are generally so friendly and welcoming so customer service is of a high standard. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean hotel. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. Pool was very quiet as the beach was only one street away. Towels/bedding changed every 3 days and room cleaned. You can borrow an iron at reception, air con is very good. Small kitchenette with 2 hobs. Drinks and ice creams are cheap. You have to check out at 11am but can leave your suitcase at reception and shower/change in the pool shower room and there is a toilet in the lobby. The location is perfect for the beach, supermarket is on the end of the street too. All the restaurants and shops are a street away. I walked to old town which was only 15/20 min walk all flat along the front. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the shower was tiny.

The location of the Hotel is perfect, there’re a lot of stores, restaurants nearby, and the seaside too of course. The staff, the pool, all holiday was fantasic. You can try the parasailing, jet- ski services, and you can choose between sandy and rocky parts of the beach. It has the perfect enviroment to spend a fantastic week in Crete.
