Great location near many good restaurants. All staff at reception and the bar/breakfast room and the cleaners were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was immaculately clean. Loved the breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Sand Hotel is an excellent location in downtown Reykjavik. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Only two issues for me and they both related to my room. There was no towel rail in the bathroom to dry damp towels. Also, for me, the pillows were too soft - but i appreciate this is subjective and may be to the preference of others. Other rooms may not have these issues.
