Die Lage ist tatsächlich sehr gut. Mitten drin und doch so weitabseits, dass man die feiernden Leute nicht hört. Die boden tiefen Fenster in der ersten Etage sind etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, da jeder der will reinschauen kann. Unser Apar**ent war sauber u d es hat alles funktioniert.

Lets start with the bad, the bad is we stayed at 401 and there is no elevator so I had to carry our luggage all the way up to 4th floor. When we got to the room, took a shower and drain clogged right away which means they did not clean the drain down below properly. They were very attentive and very good at communicating so they took care and sent someone right away but unfortunately we could not let them in because we were so tired from our flight.
The pros is everything is walkable here. If you take tours, the main bus stops are walkable. Shops and restaurants all over.
They also provided kitchen items and toileties and was very generous amount which we like. They also respond very quickly even days before our check in.
Overall, I would recommend this for the service and value.

Great place to stay in central Reykjavik and bonus points for being close to a bus stop for our tours! Very good value for money as they all have their own kitchen and bathroom. Lovely clean tidy and comfy. Easy access with codes to the door. Would recommend

We really enjoyed our stay! the apar**ent was lovely and clean and had everything you need for a short stay? We were ok with the stairs and the hosts were very attentive if you needed them? It could get a little noisy at night sometimes with people passing but it is in the centre of town so it’s to Would definitely return here if we visit Iceland again

Amazing apar**ent - location is just brilliant and apar**ent has everything you need. So spacious and such good value. We hired a car so we’re pleased to see there was car park. Absolutely loved Iceland and so pleased we booked Svala for the trip.

After staying in a camper for 6 days we were excited to have our own bathroom and bed. The place was clean but the electricity was not on when we got there. Also the bathroom shower gets water all over the bathroom it doesn’t quite drain correctly. The bed was also two twins pushed together not the queen we thought it was. The parking was also deceiving because it said free parking but that’s only with certain units. We had to park about a 10 min walk for the free parking. The location was fantastic and the staff did respond quickly to any questions.

The hotel was fine. We unfortunately had the top floor. Best views but tricky humping your luggage up the winding stairs. Never saw anyone working there. Check in and out was easy. Thankfully through emails we were able to get our room 2 hours earlier. Free parking is pretty much not happening unless you get lucky or rent the 4 person room. If you can get by without a car it will be less stressful in the city.There is a nail spa on the ground floor of this building. Had a great massage there!!

Fabulous apar**ent right in the centre of reykjavík. We had a studio apar**ent for 3 of us and it was huge with separate sleeping area with 2 beds and 2 beds in main area with dining table and well equipped kitchen. Little extras like a Nespresso machine with capsules, nice toiletries in bathroom and A communal balcony on the 4th floor where we watched the northern lights just made it perfect. Cheaper than a hotel and we cooked meals bought from the Bonus supermarket 2 mins away so saved a fortune on eating out.

Das Hotel war ganz in Ordnung. Die Lage war sehr gut. Jedoch auch laut von der Straße aus. Die Parkplatz Situation war etwas blöd, da wir in der Beschreibung erst gesehen haben, dass es Parkplätze vom Apar**ent her gibt. Allerdings nur für die 4er Zimmer. Deshalb musste für gegen Gebühr das Parkhaus in der Nähe nehmen. Das Treppenhaus war sehr dreckig (die Stufen, welche mit Teppich ausgelegt waren) und der Flur roch nicht gut. Dadurch war der erste Eindruck schlecht. Das Zimmer an sich war aber sehr sauber und das Bett war auch gut. Die Küche war ebenfalls gut ausgestattet. Dadurch dass die Unterkunft preislich nicht im hohen Rang war, ist es wiederum sehr gut gewesen. Ein weiterer Punkt der mich irritiert hat, war dass das warme Wasser nach Schwefel roch. Das allerdings in Island scheinbar normal ist
