Mitsis Rodos Maris

We have recently returned from our first family beach holiday, having stayed in mid May. The hotel surpassed all expectations it was fantastic, such a variety of facilities and entertainment all top quality to suit all ages. The restaurants were fantastic with great variety and something for everyone and pretty much available 24/7. Worth pre booking a la cart on the app prior to arrival. The staff here work extremely hard to make you feel welcome and provide everything they can all with a smile. Big shout out to despina who had such high energy and worked crazy long hours day into night. This would certainly be a give start stay for us we had such a great time and I really recommend you book to stay at this place. Great value for money for the top quality service and product you get from your stay. Only downsides why it didn't hit the full marks, the pools were freezing and took a while to adapt. The communication about activities and what's going on and what services are provided at the hotel is lacking, the hotel has so much to offer and it does not sell that to the guests, you could go your whole stay and miss what's happening at the resort. We found the check in pretty poor and not much information provided. It took a few days to work out where things were and what events were happening, a little more communication or a more interactive app would work. We loved our time so much here we have booked to return in October and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Mitsis Rodos Village

I wasn't sure if I should post a review but I am doing this in the hope that senior management and Mitsis see this and put actions in place so that others don't have the experience that we did. Overall, we had a great holiday but that's because we made the most of it. It even became laughable because the service was that bad and you're almost waiting for the next bad experience. As soon as you leave the hotel and experience hospitality elsewhere, you realise how bad it is at Mitsis Rodos Village. Pros: - The hotel decor is beautiful in the bottom part that has been refurbished. - Loads of seating, especially for big groups. - Some of the staff were brilliant - Sabika, Juliano (pool bar), Jacko - all of the staff need to be more like these guys. - The rooms in the bottom part of the hotel are cleaned to a high standard and the maids are lovely and friendly. - The food at the Asian, Italian and Greek Al a carte restaurants is lovely Cons: - An awful smell of sewage that comes and goes, both in and outside. - Most of the staff at the bars act like you've asked them for a kidney when you want to order a drink - they even argue with you and talk about you to their colleagues. - On arrival, two of the families that we were with didn't have the right amount of beds in their rooms - they were split up and had to sleep in separate rooms, away from their children. They got no apology! - Not enough staff to support the amount of guests, this meant there were queues everywhere and it didn't feel like a holiday, nevermind a 5 star! - If you go down to the beach bar, be prepared to argue for a drink and be talked about. One of the male staff members asked where our husbands were and even hosed us down with the hosepipe in a bid to get rid of us from the terrace - literally spraying the water at our feet and ankles. - On most days, our friends in the old part of the hotel didn't have their rooms cleaned, which meant they didn't have any clean towels. - If you try to complain, you are fobbed off by management who say they will come back to you.....they don't! - Chefs having a visible hissy fit in the al a carte restaurants because they don't want to cook for a table of 10. - Want to go to the Greek restaurant in the day time? Good luck! If you do get in there and you're a table of 4, you will be split up as most of the tables are set for 3 people and they won't move a 4th chair for you. - You can't get yourself a drink at any point, meaning you even have to wait for orange, water etc at breakfast. This would be ok if there were enough serving staff to bring you drinks....most of the time we had finished a meal before getting drinks. - Make sure you have a degree to figure out where and what time you can get certain drinks from, especially coffee. This hotel really makes things difficult and it shouldn't be. There was a turning point the day before we left. Things got that bad that the management had no choice but to listen and do something -
Mayia Exclusive Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

I've just returned from an amazing week long stay at the gorgeous Mayia Resort and what a wonderful stay I had. It was my best friend's birthday whilst we were there and we arrived at our room to see a delicious cake and some chocolates waiting for us. I had emailed the hotel before our stay asking about this and they were incredibly quick to reply and very helpful in arranging this for us. The hotel itself is in a great location and really does have some of the best views I've seen whilst on holiday. The staff are all incredibly welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. We felt very well looked after during our time here and I want to thank all the staff at the Mayia for making our stay extra special. It's clear to see how hard everyone works and it's truly appreciated. The food was delicious, a particular highlight was the Greek restaurant which we went to for lunch on our last day. I must also mention the street food corner and the beach bar. The food at both of these options were amazing for lunch and the service was equally amazing. There is a lovely shop at the hotel too which has wonderful gifts. The cocktails were exceptional and service at the pool, main and beach bar was excellent. The room was comfortable and definitely large enough for the two of us, the mini bar was restocked daily too which was brilliant. There is nightly entertainment which is fantastic and a lovely addition to the evenings. The hotel was the perfect place for a relaxing holiday where I could really switch off from everyday life but you can also easily get the bus into Lindos for the day if you'd like or you can access other excursions if you wish. This is the first time I can genuinely say I want to return to a hotel and would come back as soon as possible. Rhodes itself is a beautiful island packed with lots to do and see and the Mayia is a stunning hotel. If I could come back next week, I would. I'm sure I've missed out many more positives in this review but I highly recommend the Mayia Resort and I really want to express my u**ost thanks to everyone who works at the resort. Thank you all for a wonderful stay and I hope to return soon!
Lindian Village Beach Resort Rhodes, Curio Collection by Hilton

This enchanting retreat truly feels like a slice of a quaint Greek village, complete with convenient access to charming restaurants and boutique shops. The swimming pool area is exceptional, and the beach is simply breathtaking. We were thoroughly impressed by the friendly staff, delicious food, and the overall ambiance of the place. Spending evenings immersed in music in the quaint square area in front of the restaurants was a delight. Additionally, the availability of a creche was a helpful touch for those moments we needed. However, our experience wasn't without its hiccups. We encountered some issues with the jacuzzi in our room; it wasn't always well-maintained, leading to evaporated water and, consequently, a less than warm hot tub experience by the time it was addressed upon our request. Another significant concern was the misunderstanding with the all-inclusive deal, which, contrary to what was advertised on their website, did not include cocktails. This led to repeated explanations each time we ordered a cocktail, which somewhat marred the relaxation we sought. While this wasn't a major issue given our limited alcohol consumption, the principle of the matter and the inconvenience it caused was somewhat frustrating. Despite these drawbacks, the overall charm and quality of the resort are undeniable. We would still recommend this beautiful place for its many virtues, hoping that the minor issues we faced will be addressed for future guests.
