Afandou Beach

We were in the hotel with a group of friends. Great, quiet, clean place to stay. Good food and room in general. I would especially like to mention the staff of the bar. Anna and Daria are very friendly, polite and make delicious cocktails. They also recommended places for us to visit, we were very satisfied. Definitely recommend to stay!

Thanks very much to Mr Tasha’s Manager of the hotel and all the staff for a warm welcome. the food at the hotel is simple, not a very large selection, but you definitely won’t stay hungry. A large green area was very pleased, as well as an excellent selection of cocktails at the bar. The rooms are old, but for those who came to enjoy the country and not sit in the room is a great option. The hotel also has Deluxe rooms, for those who love modern renovation) Our vacation in 2023 was a success)

Excellent hotel we visited for a 3rd time, located at walking distance from beautiful mostly sandy beach with pebbles (5-minute walk). Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice and clean rooms with A/C. Every day we had a great variety of food you could choose from. We appreciated 2 pools and a pool bar with all-inclusive offering we enjoyed. We had a great vacation here, and plan to return also next year.

If you enjoy activities on holiday, this is the place to come. The only problem is you cannot do everything! Need to plan your day. The Levante fitness staff work you hard and are very professional. The Neilson beach staff appeared tired after a long season and did not create the buzz you would have expected when undertaking activities at the beach. This was not just my experience other guests commented on this. Plenty of cycling options for all abilities. The food was good and a wide choice of food is available. The choice of pools is a big plus and it never felt crowded. Overall loved it as your around like minded people.

Hotels good points would have/should have been the grounds?, during our stay they werent cleaned though, the smaller pool at back had stained paving from sticky drinks spilt, dirty cups left, fag buts on floor, piled high in ashtrays, wet tissue/loo roll?, melted ice cream spilt and left on floor, empty ice cream and crisp packets, fag packets left on floor, small pool had black mold all around the plastic grills at side, larger one also had dirty paving in places, fag butts left and tissue in pool for some of the days. The room we stayed in was dirty, bedding not changed more than once in 11 days, bedding sheet did not fit so slipped off and you then slept directly on the mattress which was awful to put up with, 1 small flat pillow each and the 1 spare one had massive brown stain on,towels had to be thrown on floor in hope of then seeing them changed!, our bathroom had a black worm crawling from it one night, just horrible! Bathroom sink grimey, tiles grimey with a dirty film on them, no hot water until the evening, water overflowed as shower drain blocked, shower head blocked with limescale, so came out at an angle! When we turned up on first night our feet became black underneath from the dusty dirty floor, we wore flip flops always as the floor was never cleaned during our stay. I washed the dusty surfaces down myself on arrival to lift the dust with baby wipes i fortunately had. All inclusive drinks poor, cocktails over sweet, red wine foul, white wine ok, spirits poor, beer poor, no rose, plastic cups they were served in were a horrible yellowing colour, at one time smelt a dirty dishcloth aroma when taking a sip from a cup. Food tolerable at times, but usually hard to enjoy, breakfast was fine, good selection, no pancakes as mentioned by others though which was a shame. Lunch and dinner very hit and miss, luke warm dishes just not always pleasing to the eye at times with how they looked, they served some lovely greek salad ingredients you could put together yourself but took away the option of olive oil and vinegar dressings after day 1 if being there so you ended up with a dry salad. I think i felt uncomfortable eating due to the cold, unwelcoming feel in the restaurant, with its dirty windows, 1970's tables and chairs, poor cold subdued lighting at night, dull decor, we ended up calling it the school canteen!, staff were unfriendly and seemed to cause a cold vibe in there, they had strange really tough rules such as not eating outside of the canteen, you had your knuckles wrapped if you dared to leave with so much as an apple!! I kid you not, school staff were far kinder! it would have been nicer outside in the grounds to eat your meals, we rarely ate there after day 2 but thats annoying when you paid for all inclusive, worked out an expensive holiday. Staff were on whole rude, cold, looked fed up being there, just couldnt be asked generally, apart from the wonderful, efficient, friendliest MORNING receptionist who was by far the best w

I’ll start with the positives - fitness facilities are fantastic, CrossFit style workouts that push you, as well as the standard offering from Neilson and thr instructors were great. The kids club is 5* and our littles (3 and 6) had an awesome time getting active. We’ve stayed at several neilson resorts before and love the set up. We were however disappointed with the room we were assigned which was opposite the area where evening entertainment was on 4/7 nights of our stay. Unfortunately this meant having blaring music or a compare on a mic booming into our room until 11pm. When we raised the issue with the Neilson client services manager he didn’t offer any solutions or compensation at all and we were met with a simple - we are fully booked response! Also the Neilson don’t have the resort exclusively the resort is shared with a Scandinavian operator so the clientele is mixed. We were woken up at 2am with load younger guests being noisy on several occasions. All in all, we are leaving more tired than we arrived and likely will be back to Neilson but not to Levante.

We have had a very nice week at this hotel. I shall start with the bad points: .Air Con not great (got very hot) .TV in room not able to find channels (not that we would've used it much anyway) .Only 2 plug sockets in room (1 for TV) and not near the bed .No spirits/cocktails until 6pm with all inclusive The location isn't great unless you're not fussed with exploring and are happy to chill, as apart from the beach, there isn't really anything in walking distance. However, Taxis are always available and decently priced, and the receptionist was always happy to ring us one through so the location wasn't a huge issue for us. There is a bus stop down the road but we didn't use it so can't comment on how reliable it is. The staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming. Especially the day time receptionist who was always keen to help and the manager was very welcoming. There isn't a huge variety of food but what they do serve is delicious, didn't have any complaints with a single meal. Big pool and nice area to bathe around, easy to get good sunbeds and a lovely setting with the gardens/trees around, very peaceful. All in all, a really nice week on a beautiful island. This is a perfect hotel if you like to stay away from the busy areas or are coming with family. Thank you everyone at Afandou beach hotel! On a side note if visiting, visit Falaraki water park and Rodos old town, you will not be disappointed!
