Hotels Near Medieval Castle Lardos in Rhodes

Another wonderful 10 days spent here again this year, everything you need from a hotel and more. Wonderful staff, excellent food and drink selection. Perfect for families and adult holidaymakers alike. We have been many times now, and always greeted with the warmest of welcomes. A special shout out to Elsa in the Lobby Bar, she’s a diamond! So kind and always with a smile. Maria in the coffee bar under the tree is also fantastic, always great service there. Location is perfectly situated on the beach, great for snorkelling! Boat trips and coach trips available locally. Bus stop outside the hotel for independent travel. Location is quite rural, with just a few local shops, cafes and pharmacy. This is the holiday for you if you just like to rest, relax and recharge, and forget about real life for a week or 2!

The location is amazing, in a quiet corner of Vlycha beach, where it feels calmer and relaxing. It's also conveniently located at 10-min drive to Lindos town. The beach is just 3 mins away on foot. The hotel is very modern, has a new feel, very minimalistic which we like very much. This is an adult-only hotel which we prefer, so we really had more serene mood. Breakfast is fantastic, a lot of variety so we didn't get bored within the 5 days we were there. Dinner at one of the restaurants (Agistri) was great, the service was nice. The hotel also allowed us to check out late at 1pm (standard is 11am), which was nice because we booked a facial treatment at the spa at 1030am on day of check out because it was the only available one that morning. The shower was working perfectly, with a view of the pool and the sea. Our private pool was always clean and looks new. Housekeeping staff was also very friendly and did proper clean up. Opportunities to improve on: 1. The butler was not friendly at all, which is disappointing as he was the first person to greet guests at the lobby. We arrived at the front with our rental car, and he didn't even greet. He was quite aggressive when we asked where to park the car, and he simply pointed wherever vacant spot on the street we see. He was also responsible to walking us to our room with the luggage upon check in, and that was a few minutes of awkwardness too. 2. The check-in was a bit clumsy. Although the reception lady was really nice, he assisted us to check in via the hotel app (which we first had to download). That took some time when it was possible to simply check us in the normal way. I understand that the hotel wants to push the app to guests, but perhaps best to check in the normal way first THEN ask us to download the app afterwards. This way, it doesn't feel like: if we don't download the app, we cannot check in. Because in the end, we find the app helpful. We were in Lindos town one afternoon, and reserved our massage and dinner at the hotel via the app while there. 3. The room phone line did not function the whole time we were there. We reported it on day one, nothing happened. We had some questions that the app couldn't answer, and we always have to go to the reception to ask little questions, like how much the bottle of wine in the room costs, or if it's possible to do late check out. 4. One one night, we hang out at the pool bar and there was only one service staff. We had to wait for about half an hour to get our drinks, and he only passed by once to say it's coming though we can see the bar and no one is preparing anything. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and the value for money is worth it. We will come back again and recommend.

After spending about a month on looking up hotels, we decided to go with Casa Cook and we are so glad we made this decision. From day 1, we have been met with very friendly staff and was pleasantly surprised when we found out during check-in that we were being blessed with an upgrade to a villa with a private pool. What a great way to start out holidays! This adults-only resort features stylish, minimalist design that enhances relaxation. There are plenty of options including a lavish breakfast buffet and exquisite dinner menus that can be enjoyed either indoors or outdoors. If outdoors, you will get to meet the cute resident cats! The staff is notably friendly and attentive, ensuring a welcoming environment throughout our stay. A special thanks to Christopher and Kostantina who made our stay at Casa Cook very memorable with their friendliness, amazing recommendations on food and local places to visit. With its tranquil vibe and stunning surroundings, Casa Cook Rhodes truly stands out as a perfect getaway for those seeking both luxury and comfort. This hotel is near the sea in the new city of RDOS, because there are no tourists in winter, the hotel is very cheap, but the hotel facilities are not reduced because there are no tourists, heating is available, the service is super good, the breakfast is super rich, although I saw that I was eating breakfast alone, The hotel has a bus stop to the airport in three minutes, and it takes about 10-15 minutes to the old city. It is very convenient to have a bus to LINDOS for only 6 euros.

So me and my brother flew in from England and stayed the week here, I booked before I looked at reviews then when I saw them i obviously panicked and thought it was gonna be a sh*T show, thankfully it was way better than expected. Firstly the location is great, 10 min walk from old town and the bus station where it costs €5 to go to lindos etc, sea a minute away, plenty of shops and restaurants around. The staff are very friendly and no extra fees were pushed on us, the room was clean, sure a bit of peeled paint was on the walls (not shocked due to humidity of Rhodes) but it was clean and nice. The room was cleaned 4 times in our 7 night stay and we enjoyed our visit, will definitely be staying again. I think some people pay for 2* and expect 5* lmao. For a 2* hotel it was way better than expected.

Booked for a party of six at this hotel. On arrival at the hotel two of us were given rooms in an annex three minutes walk away. Another of our party had only one night in the actual hotel and then also had to move to the annex. The hotel is well situated but the Annex is close to the nightclub area and the noise from this necessitated me keeping the door to the balcony closed and the Aircon on. The rooms were pleasant enough, although the tea and coffee was not replenished after the first day. Breakfast was okay but the hot food was lukewarm. If I was to stay there again (unlikely) I would insist on staying in the actual hotel.

Very nice hotel close to the center of Rhodes Town and the beach. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Spacious clean rooms with a balcony. Daily change of towels. Great, helpful and always smiling staff at the reception. I would highly recommend it

The hotel was overall very nice. It was very clean and we saw a lot of cleaning going on in the early mornings which was very nice! Our room was cleaned every day in a very timely fashion, and the staff were very kind and helpful. The only thing that was unfortunate about the hotel was the breakfast. The food was pretty low quality and unappealing in general. We also unfortunately saw some large bugs that made it into the dining room as it was connected to the pool/patio. Generally we avoided the breakfast but enjoyed everything else at the hotel.

Basically everything in Rhodes Town is within walking distance. If you don't need anything else from your hotel than a bed and breakfast, this is your choice. The staff is very polite and helpful and the rooms are clean and well air conditioned. There is nothing bad I can say about this hotel, but don't expect anything luxurious at this price. You got to try the gelatteria across the road! It is the best gelatto in all Rhodes.
