Hotel location is very good, the room is very clean, the environment is quiet and comfortable, the price is super high.

After all, it is a hotel for amusement parks. It is not bad in all aspects, but the price/performance ratio is relatively low. The SkyTrain is right next to the hotel, which is very convenient. The restaurant downstairs is good, but there are too many people; the nearby scenery is also good.

Hotel located near the metro and McDonalds, just opposite there is a mall and a chinese/international supermarket. There are also many restaurants in walking distance. The lobby, gym, and room are a little old but overall quite clean. Best part of the stay was the bed - super soft and comfortable! However, there wasn’t any amenities such as toothbrush, comb, or facial puffs (there wasn’t any in the room and we brought our own anyway so we didn’t ask for it). Hotel shuttle from the airport was late (we had to use the free call booth) but the departure to the airport was okay.

All Holiday Inns I've stayed in have been excellent, but this one is above the rest. The rooms and amenities were standard and the breakfast was like every other Holiday Inn Express. BUT, what set this one above the rest was the staff. My wife and I were unfamiliar with the area. The desk staff of Julian and Yashman did an incredible job of telling us about local places to eat and visit. They gave us precise instructions on the bus and train systems and how to visit the Vancouver locations we wanted to see. They went well beyond their normal duties to make our visit a success. Julian's and Yashman's attention to detail and outstanding customer service were exemplary.

The hotel is clean and tidy, and the attitude of the staff is very good. My English is not very good. I met a very good Chinese-speaking lady who helped me print documents and book a car. She also told me what software can be used for Chinese food delivery, fast food around, and daily As expected, there are Chinese supermarkets and Italian restaurants, which are very convenient. If you are willing to walk, it is also close to the Chinese district. There are many Chinese restaurants, and it is also very close to the airport. It is a good recommendation for transiting from Vancouver. Five-star recommendation!

Ah, the Panda Pod Hotel! Marketed as the first capsule hotel in the Greater Vancouver Area (GVA), this relatively new establishment seeks to provide “modern and affordable” accommodation in the GVA. The Panda Pod, which opened in late April 2019, takes its influence from the pod hotels of Asia. When you check in, you’re given access to a total of three lockers for your personal belongings: A shoe locker, a locker for your backpack (if you have one), and a locker for your carry-on baggage. The gracious Panda Pod staff will also store one piece of standard-sized luggage free of charge, but anything beyond that will cost a very reasonable $5 for each additional item. My journey to the Panda Pod was kind of interesting. I was gearing up for some business meetings in Vancouver and, as usual, was a bit late on the draw in booking a hotel room. All of my typical haunts were fully booked, so I tried other hotels in the GVA, including those in Burnaby, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, Vancouver-proper and Richmond. Everything was totally booked – including the crappy Richmond Travelodge (see my earlier review on this site) – except for a couple of the Fairmont properties. And given that we were still in Vancouver’s “summer” season, the rates at the Fairmont hotels were nothing short of outlandish (between $800 to $1200 PER NIGHT). Then it dawned on me: “Hey! I remember reading something about a pod hotel opening . . .” So, I looked up the Panda Pod and noted, 1) There was availability for the night I needed; and, 2) The rate was practically unbeatable @ $65 + tax. Really, when it comes to value for money, this is where the Panda Pod shines: If you’re looking for a clean, friendly and safe place to stay, you can’t beat these prices . . . especially during “summer” season rates. [Of course, I subsequently found out why virtually every hotel was booked. It just so happened that during my meetings, the UBCM was holding their annual conference AND Elton John was visiting Vancouver as part of his world tour. I’m sure it was just a coincidence that the UBCM was meeting at this time ;) ] In any event, I guess what I’m saying is as long as you know what the Panda Pod Hotel is then you should be most satisfied with what you get: It’s not a hotel in the traditional sense; that is, you don’t get a private room, nor is there an on-site restaurant. Thanks to the unique pod structure you get what are essentially shared accommodations, split by gender (male and female). Each individual pod has a fairly comfortable mattress to sleep on; a foldable “desk” (and I use that term generously); hooks to hang items like a coat or hat; and a pull-down screen over the pod entrance for privacy. The hotel also features a shared lounge (with vending machine), washroom facilities and showers. In short, the Panda Pod isn’t fancy, but it’s cozy and functional. About a 20 minute drive from the airport and close to the bus station. The owner is kind, the room was clean and everything you needed was available. The owner was also always available and was able to give recommendations for things to do in Vancouver. The only improvement I would give is more options for breakfast but the main area was comfortable. Overall, great experience with zero issues.

I had a really nice time at this home-sweet-home guest house in Vancouver. The house was lovely and cozy, with very clean rooms and great facilities that were just as good as those in a fancy hotel just like a 4-star hotel at a very reasonable price in Vancouver city. The owner of the house was friendly and made my stay even better. The house is in a great spot, super close to the airport and it's easy to get to downtown Vancouver. I really liked staying there. I can't wait to go back if I visit Vancouver again. It's a great place to be comfy and close to everything you. They advertise their rooms as having air conditioning but this is not true as the room we were checked into had a evaporative air cooler. The cooling system in the room didn't work and they were completely aware of this but did not mention a single thing to us at check-in. We had to constantly fill the bucket from the air cooler with ice cold water in order to get any cool air in the room. They told us it should last 8 hours but the machine started beeping at 3:30am after we had just filled it with ice cold water right before bed. It's ridiculous to have to go fetch ice and change the water out in the middle of the night. We were told that they were fully booked and they couldn't move us. There were also lots of mosquitoes in the room - our best guess was that the big bucket of water from the machine made it a nice environment for them. The nights were hot, stuffy and annoying with the mosquitoes bothering us. We were not able to have a good nights sleep at all. The toilet and bathtub are also not renovated. The toilet seat was peeling and really disgusting. The bathtub does not drain well at all when you are showering. The room we were assigned was also right behind the elevators. Whenever the elevators were in use, we heard banging all the time - even in the middle of the night. We usually ask for a room away from the elevators but we haven't been able to access our rewards account to see if it's still noted despite asking for password reset help multiple times and having no response. Cleanliness was also a problem - the floors were sticky and they haven't cleaned under the sofabed in a long time. Housekeeping also asked us one morning if we needed our room cleaned and we declined. That night, we had a card slipped under our door indicating that they will do a wellness check within 24 hours since they haven't heard from us - we just spoke with them THAT morning. We've stayed here many times before and spoke highly of this hotel but we will no longer recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is in a inconvenient location. To get there without a car, you have to go to Aberdeen Station and transfer by 610 Bus. The most important thing is, the bus never arrives on time. So just grab an uber. Other than that, everything is pefect. Frequent shuttle to airport.
