This was my first stay at an Omni for a long time. I am Gold with both Hilton and Marriott, so that is what I compare all hotels too. I liked my room, it was clean, comfortable and spacious. However, there were only limited electrical sockets available, so my wife and I had to time share. The 2 things that really stood out though was having to join the Omni club to get free internet, which was spotty at best, and the noise in the evening. My room, a deluxe King room was on the 3rd floor, all I could hear when trying to sleep was the bass from the function below.

Room was clean and Nice. Staffs are helpful and responsive. There is a starbucks and a restaurant at the same building.

The Omni Richmond was once a premier hotel. When we booked our stay this time, we were willing to pay a highly inflated price, plus a mostly required additional $40/night charge for valet, for what we thought was a higher product hotel. Unfortunately, we experienced an aging hotel, with plumbing issues, and smaller bed sizes than most standard hotel rooms. In addition, an inflated charge of request headache medicines, most standard front desks would have offered at no charge.

The hotel is ok (the mini fridges in both of my rooms didn't work and the tub took a whole night to drain in one room) and the location along with the front desk staff and valet ($38) is perfection but room service is more like overpriced door dash and the pool was overrun with teenagers and kids doing cannon balls from open to close making using the pool impossible.

There were several five star choices in downtown Richmond. We did not have to stay downtown and could have stayed on the perimeter. The Omni did not disappoint, with respect to everything that you really need for business. This was a special one-night couples getaway, though. We chose the Omni because it had an onsite restaurant and an indoor pool. The restaurant, however, was not open before 5pm and the indoor pool was closed. Our evening plans required dinner at 4 and the weather did not favor a walk the afternoon of check-in or in the morning. An early afternoon or morning swim was part of our plan, but did not happen.

Just checked in, and wanted to compliment Chaunnetta at the front desk. She was kind and knowledgeable throughout check in. I had a complicated credit card situation and she was patient and very kind in getting everything situated. Chaunnetta is awesome!

The people across the hall from us were extremely rude...slammed doors all night and the woman talked extremely loud, as if trying to make a lot of noise.
