The Countryman’s Inn

Fab-u-lous! Very clean ,warm and comfortable rooms.Delicious breakfast-lots of choice ,huge portions and served nice and hot. Also,ate here 2 evenings,lots to choose from,good value for money. The staff were very friendly and a great atmosphere in the pub.

This is a community owned village pub ran by Dan and Katie, who gave us a friendly and warm welcome. We had a Sunday lunch, portions were huge, the meat tender and a great selection of vegetables. For us though allergies are catered for, with two of our party needing gluten and milk free they were really well catered for - yorkshires, mash, plain veg gravy all allergy friendly. We did let them know the night before we were coming as I find this gives businesses a little bit of advanced warning to prepare especially for Sunday dinner when butter is often used in veg.

What a fantastic place! I’ll definitely be booking to stay here again the next time I’m in the area. Stayed here on a work trip for two nights. Room and place were brilliant, but it was the staff that made the stay amazing. Lisa and Holly went out of their way to ensure we were looked after to the highest standard. Customer service at its best.

Had a two week stay at the Countryman Inn and I would definitely go back. Food (both breakfast and dinner) was great with plenty of choices, WiFi was reliable, pub atmosphere was great, staff were fantastic. And it’s in such a lovely setting! My room was spacious and the shower was really good, better than expected. Car park at the back is a bit of a squeeze if you have a big car/estate, but there is plenty of space on the main road. And my phone signal was non-existent, but that’s just something to bear in mind, the WiFi covered that suitably. Again, would definitely go back.
