Ramada by Wyndham Roanoke

This is what appears to be a "by the hour" dive. The walkways leading to our room were loaded with old spider webs and there was trash laying everywhere. When we got to the room, I didn't need to use the card to access it, I just had to push the door that didn't latch. The comforter on the bed had a dozen or so cigarette burn holes in it and the furniture upholstery was ripped wide open. Needless to say, we were out of the room after taking a few photos to document the reason why we were going to demand a refund.

This is the first time I wish I read reviews before booking. This place is just nasty! My suspicions went up when I arrived, and it looked like a homeless person’s shopping cart outside the main entrance. The elevator could make a maggot gag! It stunk! The building has not been maintained. Paint is peeling, and it is in need of refurbishment. Room was ok. Carpet is old and needs replacement, but the sheets were clean. The parking lot is another issue. We had a sudden downpour, and when I went to the parking lot…. The water was up to the floorboards. So, I moved my car to higher ground. As I walked through the parking lot, the water was almost to my knee. I don’t understand that Ramada would keep their brand on this place.

The hallways smelled like urine. The rooms weren't cleaned and it was suppose to be smoke free and when I called the desk, they were going to try and get me into another room and when I told them i would stay in the room for we were already in our night clothes, they said that they would bring me an airfreshner they did not. I complained about the water coming from the a/c on the floor and they did not come and check it out.

My husband and I had to spend the night in Roanoke since he had to have surgery there. This hotel is nasty. We were given a room at the third floor were participants of a Homeless program were occupying most of the floor. Our room was nasty, people in the next room were fighting and using bad language. Nothing was working in the room. When the maintenance person came we told him we were very unhappy. He made his best to find us another room on a different floor. Thank God for James ( that was his name ) who helped us. We were ready to leave this place and ask for a refund. We will never go back to this hotel again. It needs to be shut down!

Think about it like this i have ptsdfrom that few hour stay. It was disgusting in every way possible if u have a bit of concern for your health and safety please avoid a to z everything was bad I hate recalling that stay

This place was so run down in need of major repairs head bugs, I slept with this chair up against the door and still did not feel safe it is in a questionable neighborhood, the lights didn't work, two huge bugs I had to kill before I went to sleep, found food under the beds, and dirt behind the stands, had paid for two queen beds and yet they had none when I arrived although the gentleman at front desk did respond the difference but the girl that works there does not belong and customer service. The breakfast was a joke with coffee serial three donuts and room temperature milk. The only good thing is the air conditioning worked well this is not up to Wyndham standards. The bed frame was extended from the mattress I tripped over it and punctured my leg.

I wanted to cancel my reservation here. I contacted the number provided, which took me to corporate customer service. They told me I had to call the specific location's front desk. After several calls that were never answered I gave up.
