"The bed wasn’t that comfortable, the shower door wouldn’t close, the room didn’t have a good smell to it. The most crazy thing is paying for parking and I have stayed at other spark by Hilton never had to pay for parking! Yes I would pay for parking if it was like a luxury hotel and one top of that checking in the front desk person was to busy on his phone that is didn’t even notice me standing there until I said excuse me like I was standing there for 4 minutes! I definitely won’t be booking at this hotel unless it’s the last minute timing!"

The Promissory Hotel

"I came to stay at the Promissory as a half-way point between Philadelphia and Asheville, where I was headed for the weekend, and I was not disappointed! So incredibly charming, thoughtful, and inviting. I was offered a complimentary upgrade to my room to their gorgeous and spacious Artist's Suite and enjoyed a glass of champagne upon arrival. The staff were all friendly, informative, and professional. I wish I was able to stay longer but promise that if I ever find my way to Roanoke (an adorable town!) I will be staying again, and will certainly tell everyone I know to reserve a room at the Promissory Hotel."
