I had a disappointing stay at Freedom Hostel in Rome. The cleanliness was subpar, with noticeable issues throughout the hostel. The air conditioning was not working, making the room uncomfortable, especially during the hot summer nights. Additionally, the bathrooms had a bad smell, which was quite off-putting. The only positive aspect was the location, which is conveniently situated for exploring Rome. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Freedom Hostel due to the significant issues with cleanliness, air conditioning, and bathroom maintenance.

Great hostel located a few mins from Roma Termini. Great service and kind front desk people. Clean beds, quiet rooms, and friendly environment in an old and spacious building. Restaurants and shops nearby. Great location

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. We forgot a bag at a cafeteria near the hostel and when we make contact they came there immediately to take and keep it safe for us till we came back. Much appreciate that. The location was great. Near all the train, metro and bus station. Neighborhood is very quiet too. Highly recommend.

Really bad living environment and no kitchen there with nothing equipment The staff are not friendly and helpful

Everything is ok. The room on the fifth floor is perfect for one or two people. If you want, you can cook yourself. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a shared bathroom for three rooms, so it depends on which neighbors you get, but it is cleaned every day. I recommend

At this price and this configuration, I can only say that the city of Rome is indeed terrible.

I had to wait to check in. There were already three groups waiting in front of me at the reception desk. Why. You should be able to check in from 3pm. can not understand. Wi-Fi connection was poor and almost unusable. And the elevator too I couldn't use it, so I carried the carrier bag myself. There is a toilet and bath in the room, but it wasn't very clean so I didn't take a bath. After another customer used the shower, she was saying something in her native language. That didn't make sense to me, but maybe the water stopped mid-way through the shower? Have you gotten cold? It seemed like he was conveying something like that. I think I made the right decision not to take a shower. I'm glad I only stayed for one day. The breakfast service was delicious. That was the only good point.

It's cheap. In the morning, you can eat bread, milk and coffee. In the evening, from 7pm to 9pm, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat red wine, white wine, and two types of snacks. The entrance is difficult to find.

The sheets are not clean. The quilt is so dirty that I dare not use it. Before I went there, I saw on google review that there were bed bugs, and the girl who lived with me was indeed bitten. I also checked whether the sheets were there and put things on the bed to tidy up. I found that there were insects on them, but I didn’t know if they were bed bugs. Anyway, the training made me worried. The hair dryer doesn't work. The only advantage is that it is close to the train station and there is a supermarket nearby. When you arrive at the store, you have to pay 8 city tax.
