Hotel Martis Palace

Stay here, that's the summary. You will love this hotel Location - Rome is congested and public transportation not convenient. You can (we did) walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the Vatican. A close walk also is Campo d'Fiori and the Trastevere area (great night life). We were attending a wedding, so we needed a cab. The hotel calls and manages the cabs for you. They get quick service from the cabs and they make sure they know what you need. (we actually stood at a cab stand in the Vatican area for 20 minutes, and no cabs showed up. We ended up walking back to the hotel to get a cab to the Colosseum) Service - They fell all over themselves to attend to our family. We got there early in the morning, and they served us coffee and pastries, and rushed our room and we were in our room by 10:00 am (not to be expected, but they were so accommodating) Breakfast was wonderfully executed. every morning. Rooms were well serviced and the bell and front desk staff ready to greet and help at the drop of a hat. The most friendly staff we have experienced in a long time. Rooms - Everything worked, and worked well. They have power blackout curtains, a high tech system the controlled all the lights and A/C that was the best we had in Italy. The beds were very comfy and large, Lots of closet space. This may not be the cheapest hotel in Rome, but it is the best value. When you are on vacation you want everything to work right, and somebody to help you when things aren't perfect. I do compare and read many reviews when making hotels plans. We would 100% stay here again, without even thinking.

We had 2 nights in Rome and Martis Place provided the perfect location for our tight itinerary. For instance, Trevi Fountain is about a 10 minute walk which is perfect to go in the morning to beat the crowd. Our room was spacious and comfortable Staff were super friendly and happy. One of the breakfast attendants softly hummed to the music playing. And she made fantastic cappuccino with a smile. The breakfast included some local items which I thought was a special touch.

The Martis Palace is a lovely restored property, easy walking distance from the Pantheon, the Forum, Piazza Navona and other sites in the central tourist district of Rome. The rooms are very comfortable, though not everything in the room worked as well as it might. The hot water in particular was never really hot by American standards, which I would have expected in a hotel at this price point. The staff are supremely helpful and were perhaps the best part of our stay. I strongly recommend asking for a room on the quiet side of the hotel. While it promotes itself as on a quiet street, one side of the hotel faces a noisy boulevard.

The best of the best! When we arrived at the Martis Palace, we were immediately upgraded. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We absolutely loved everything about the hotel - from the room, to the rooftop bar; everything was perfect. What stood out the most was the 5-star service from the staff. They were friendly, helpful and went above and beyond in every way. We want to give a huge THANK YOU to Carlo - you made our stay so special. Florence was also so sweet. We will absolutely be staying at the Martis Palace when we return to Rome and cannot recommend it enough!

Excellent staff, great location, cleaning service and room are great, breakfast: super best, fresh and delicious products with chef specialities which are delicious! Breakfast staff friendly and profesional. 10 plus plus to this hotel and more plus and congratulations to the Front Desk staff: Martina, Carlo, Victorio and each of the team members! So profesional, knowledgeable and helpful. If we return to Rome we will definitely stay in this hotel again! It was a great choice. Graciela and Dani

Martis Palace Hotel Rome was exactly what we needed! Martina was so helpful when I booked last minute and she went out of her way to make my husband’s 50th bday super special! Our room, a deluxe, looks exactly like the picture! We’ve been to EU mult times and never had a room this big! We highly recommend!

This is a very nice hotel. The staff were friendly, the rooms were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfasts were very nice indeed. And the position in Rome is great for accessing most of the major attractions very easily.
