Vaticano Julia Guest House

We were a group of 9 people staying in Rome for a few days so booked out the whole apartment. It was just perfect! The rooms were all very clean and a good size. We loved the disco showers in each of the rooms! The location was great with lots of beautiful restaurants (We loved Bibi & Romeo's which is just a few doors down!) and easy transport links to all the sights. The building itself was very quiet. The breakfast at the Cafe down the road was great - very good pastries, orange juice and coffee! The rooms were lovely and all had shutters to keep the light and sound out. We also enjoyed the bottled water, juice, cakes and coffee pods left in the room each day. Gianluca was very helpful before and during our stay. He always replied immediately to Whatsapp messages and gave some us great recommendations for the local area, as did Giancarlo when we met him to check in. We highly recommend this accommodation and can't wait to stay again!

The building is very old, dated and dirty. It sits in the middle of very busy street filled with trashcans, debris, cars and people. You reach he room by climbing 5 flights of about 20 stairs each, or you ride the shaky one person old fashioned elevator;where you have to close the door first then the elevator door will close. The 'room' is on the 5th floor behind another room. The main room has about 4 rooms that are rented out. There is no front desk nor receptionist. There is a lock box for each room that contains the key. The rooms are small and dark. There are no amenities at all. There is no free parking, no parking garage and no gym.There is street parking that you have to seek, pay for and pray that your rental vehicle doesn't get vandalized or stolen in that bad area. There is a cafe outside the main building door. The internet works if you hang out of the window on the 5th floor and hold your device up as high as you can. There is no balcony or view other than the other old dated dirty buildings. The 'management' was rude and unhelpful. We didn't check in because of the false advertisement of the room and building. We found another hotel for less money, safer area with many amenities and a great staff and breakfast.
