We booked a family room, but the middle-aged Italian man at the hotel front desk gave us the smallest standard room without explaining it to us. Then I told the hotel that it was not the room we had booked. The hotel said that there were no family rooms available, and they gave us a superior room, but it was still much smaller than the family room. They even told me that because Asians like to use bathtubs, they gave me a standard room. Even though it was obviously a problem with the hotel, they wouldn't give a refund, but Ctrip had good service and gave me a refund as soon as possible. This is my first time staying in a hotel with such poor service. The room is generally okay, but the bathroom leaks and the wash basin is clogged.
