Very interesting hotel, not bad

I was in this depar**ent twice, the first time because I didn’t really choose, they chose it for me, it was a C grade, the second time I liked the price the first time and the location. But the second time the hotel proved that what was seen as bad the first time did not seem so. I went alone, so I don’t know the numbers and how two people travel there and how they are accommodated. So, first thing. Maybe a small thing, but since I had to wait for my taxi, and it was August outside and +38... there is no air conditioning at the reception. You will be waiting in the oven. And believe me, even half an hour in this temperature is hell. Breakfast: just bad. No, I’m not talking about monotony or whatever, this is nonsense, who wants to save money or what, but if you come in at any time, even at the beginning of breakfast, and there’s not even water... ordinary water, empty bottles... juice is a disgusting waste something, it’s not even a concentrate, it’s worse. fruits are half rotten. there is almost no cutting, if at all. the hotel accepts groups, maybe if there is a group with food you will be lucky - they will accommodate it. So it is either simple or not, or its quality is terrifying. The only plus is that they brew their own coffee and cocoa and bring it in a jug. It is delicious. That's all. Numbers. The wallpaper is torn and dirty. The bed shakes frequently, the air conditioner may or may not work. Wi-Fi is often just a fiction. Oh yes, the air conditioner can also leak. The second time I arrived the shower was broken. At all. I had to make a fuss at the reception. To make a scandal, because they simply didn’t understand the words. This hotel gives you this compliment upon arrival - a small bottle of champagne. This would be great if you didn’t arrive and see that someone had already drunk your bottle, then someone hastily closed it, covered it with a cork, and just like that it stood and waited for you. Yes, the location of the hotel is also a plus because the Colosseum metro station is only two stations away before transferring to the train to the sea, only half an hour. This is where the hotel's advantages end. Even if you plan to spend no more than an hour in the room, the quality of the bed, the air (it’s hot without air conditioning), the fact that many rooms open onto the courtyard, and you can be accommodated on the ground floor, right in this courtyard, where strangers are they look straight into your room and smoke while doing so, a terrible breakfast will leave a terrible aftertaste. Well, yes, the walk to the Colosseum is still not 2 minutes, but all 10, and through the park, which closes at 21.00, and then you will have to go around it if you return later and this is all 15 minutes.

On the occasion of the Rome marathon I looked for the cheapest place near the start and I booked the Edera hotel from Booking. But only when I arrived in person did I realize that the management is that of Ostello Bello in Milan and so I understood that an anonymous hotel had been transformed into a spectacular hostel. Comfortable room, low price, welcome drink, more than decent breakfast, beautiful terrace and kitchen available for guests and above all an international and fun a**osphere, for any age. We will see each other again without a doubt!
