Location Location Location - This is a perfect intimate place to use as a base for exploring the city. Situated just 30 secs away from the Trevi fountain the hotel is tucked away in a corner next door to the il Chianti restaurant. We had room 206 which was a standard double. The view from this room is not great but we didn't care when it also means it was very quiet. The room was clean, tidy, perhaps a bit more storage space would be nice but that's a small gripe. The shower was clean spacious and well lit with fresh towels everyday. The room had a hairdryer, small fridge, safe and TV ( never used, why would you ) The breakfast room was great plenty of choice and Alvin does great coffee. On arrival Katrina give us a map and showed us the best walking routes to get around the city pointing out the main places of interest. One note of caution the hotel is on the first floor of the building then laid out over a further 2 floors so if you have mobility issues it may prove difficult as there is no lift. We used the transfer service that the hotel offers 50 euro each way but you get met at the airport and delivered to the door, which, considering the location is a major task in itself. We ordered the car for 10:30 am and it was there on the dot. 50e is a standard taxi ride into the city centre. The location is everything, lots of bars and restaurants and 20 min walk to the Vatican and Colosseum. Although right in the hustle and bustle the hotel is so quiet . Great hotel to base yourself at for a city break.
