If you expect a 5 Star Grand Hotel this us not the place for you. But it is the second time we return and the location is excellent, just around the corner of the Colosseum. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast is adequate. It might not be the most luxurious Hotel in Rome, and, granted,the rooms are a bit dated, but the location is just marvellous. We'll return a third time.

Day one upon arrival our A/C was broken, I explained my health situation the gentleman seemed unfazed, he said there were no other rooms. I asked for a fan he said they didn't have any. Day 2 no a/c the technician was supposed to come later on that day, in the meantime they gave us a small plug in wall unit you had to add water to twice a day. Day 4 the guy shows up says it fine, the desk manager tells us 75 degrees is what is allowed by law and its working. I AM not exaggerating when I tell you we were constantly taking cold showers. It was brutal. I was getting sick, you couldn't sleep it was so hot in our room, you could open a window, but there was no breeze. All week we spoke to visitors staying in various hotels all around Rome they had A/C and could cool off (not like us). The night before we were supposed to leave I was getting sicker. I used my phone to zoom into the A/C unit and what I found was beyond disgusting it was black mold ! Which could now explain why I was getting sick I am allergic to mold. We immediately contacted *********** with photos and a video, they responded it was normal wear and tear and units are cleaned/ sterilized weekly. I wasn't born yesterday and I wish I could have reached that unit to take a sample. If you have underlying health conditions or like to be cooler this is definitely not the hotel for you!
