AWFUL I had already paid but could not even check in. They don't answer the phone very often, and if they do, they immediately hang up on their own. Scam. No one answered the door or buzzer. Scam. No one answer even if I knock the door and press the buzzer.

Great location! Very close to the Vatican and Saint Angel Castle. Excellent breakfast. Spacious room.

Delightful stay. We felt very safe and all was very clean.

The stay didn't have the best start. We arrived and the doors were locked (the rooms are all on one floor situated in a multifunctional building) There was a sign above a key box that said to only take your own card. We had no code for this door. A family of 3 turned up and between us, we were pressing the door bell, ringing all the different telephone numbers we had and also ringing our holiday providers. This was all in the stairwell in 36°/96F heat which was unbearable. After 45 mins of trying everything my husband (he'd booked the holiday) got a couple of WhatsApp messages and one was a video showing our key code was under a mat!! The other was instructions of the key boxes. The family of 3 didn't receive these messages and their holiday provider was getting prepared to book them another place - We managed to get their key card for them. These WhatsApp would've been better getting sent the day before arrival as phone service isn't great in the stairwell. The room & bathroom were a great size and both cleaned to a good standard. You get 1 towel each and these are only changed every 3 days. If you want more is 3€. Breakfast was a big disappointment for us. They had sausages and scrambled egg but this was not on a hot plate, they had a microwave if you wanted it heated. The rest was cereal & pastries. We had cereal on the 1st morning and the rest of time we ate out. (Highly recommend The Abbey Threate) Location was fantastic and everything was in walking distance (for us anyway because we enjoying walking and seeing sites as we go) When we were leaving we left our key card on the table in our room because no one around to check us out. We were just about to leave the main door and someone came shouting for us and asked us to pay the city tax. We found it funny because we didn't see any staff during our entire stay but someone appeared to collect money 😅 We personally wouldn't stay again based on the arrival experience and the breakfast. However, the room and location were both great.
