Stayed many times, very nice hotel with swimming pool, kids love it very much. Dinner at the hotel, very satisfied, delicious meals and good service. Although the facilities are not new, they are clean and undamaged. The rooms are quiet and comfortable.

We came away on a short vacation and were recommended this hotel by family. We were not disappointed! The service was great, the spa was wonderful and the beds were super comfy. The variety at continental breakfast was pretty good and the staff were lovely. Definitely recommend them!

Very suitable to choose where to stay, the parking lot needs to be booked in advance, the front desk service attitude is really good, you can walk to the Polynesian Spa, the location is very good, not far from the Government Garden. Not a one time stay, it is a recommended hotel.

I'll start with the things I liked. The breakfast buffet. It was nice to have a quick way to get a good breakfast at the hotel. The decorating in the lobby was very nice. Now the not to nice parts: The room was cramped with 2 queen-sized beds. (Though it did have a refrigerator and kettle.) I opened the curtains to be surprised by shredded sheers. The wi-fi was very poor. The access is not handicap accessible. The front steps did not have a railing. The ramp was great for luggage, but would not have accommodated a wheelchair. (I have bad knees and use a cane.) They seems understaffed. A common problem throughout our trip. But the staff was helpful. They acknowledged the torn sheers and have plans to replace them all.

Clean modern spacious good people friendly and helpful staff Kitchens are a great size lots of room to move around this establishment is spread over multiple buildings each with there own facilities. ie tv rooms kitchen many activities to do in each has a laundry. Lounge rooms are incredibly comfortable with bean bags sofas and large chairs. The hostel is located 3 minutes walk from CBD so is very close to all activities There are multiple supermarkets within 10 minutes walk. The hostel is located directly opposite kuirau park worth a walk thru. Cannot say enough about the value of this hostel. Has various room sizes and bed choices really reccomend a stay p

Stayed here for 2 nights with my family including an infant. Room was pretty spacious. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately, there seems to be bed bugs or dust mites on the floor carpet as I got plenty of bites around my ankle. Went ahead to inform the front desk but I was told that there were absolutely no bed bugs in the hotel. Overall room is ok except for the cleanliness.

The hotel has a very old architectural style. I like it very much. The room facilities are not bad. The highlight is that the location is really good. It is very close to the city government garden and the lake. The front desk service of the hotel is very good. Help I put the suitcase in the room on the 2nd floor. The hotel's outdoor hot spring is very good, and it is very comfortable to soak in the evening. If there is a problem that needs to be improved, it is that I can't check in early at all, and my order includes 2 breakfasts, but The hotel seemed to be completely unclear, so I ran back to the room to check the order on my mobile phone, and I also ordered the wrong type of breakfast. All in all, it was a pleasant stay experience!

Was one if the cheaper options for our dates, we were pleasantly surprised. It looked and smelt new, had elevators to our floor. Room was small but practical, had fridge and jug. Bed was a double and quite small and for some reason seemed short but we slept OK. Very clean and well kept. Had small full length widow that looked into small atrium of the other rooms. Only negative was when the toilet was flushed, a sewerage smell came up through the drain. Easy parking, bottle store and restaurant on site but didnt use. Situated almost opposite luge. Had a car so location to town was not an issue, however, there were fast food outlets within walking distance that we noticed anyway. Overall, was good for our needs and would stay again.

Expectations were pretty high for this place as it has ‘Resort’ in the name. The pictures made it look lovely online, that is where it ended. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. I already knew the hotel was not in town so the location did not bother me. But if you are not wanting to travel much stay closer to town, as this place is 15mins away from the main drag. The view outside is stunning, unfortunately with all the rain there was mud everywhere which made it hard to walk outside of the hotel for a nice picture. You would think being a resort this would be a priority to fix up as soon as possible, even put gravel down instead of grass. The rooms were nice and big and the heat pump was lovely. Cleanliness is a big problem. Taps were still marked with water stains and dust, I wiped it and it came off straight away. Bathroom wasn’t mopped and the floor was not vacuumed. Toilet had marks in it that I could clean away, toilet brush was old and dirty (you know what I mean :() The ‘Spa’ area wasn’t the best either. 2 lonely spa pools sit out the back, with a grotty looking cold pool. The main pool looked lovely, but it was cold so wasn’t being used by anyone. The bar here is great, has a great UK British pub style, however someone is not always there to serve, we had to cancel drinks as they took the girl 30mins… The bed was comfortable and the overall area was nice and peaceful, couldn’t hear other rooms or anything. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. However, for us there were too many downs and we will not be returning.

We came across this wonderful place by accident booking last minute during our travels in NZ, so lucky! and decided to book an extra night because we loved it so much! Danny and Mable are the loveliest hosts who helped us with our planning activities and spoiled us rotten. The breakfast is absolutely amazing: Mabel makes beautiful creations with fruit and delicious dishes with local products, avocado and flowers from her own garden. Their personal touch makes this B&B an absolute highlight and we definitely recommend to stay if given the chance. Many thanks!!
