Best Tunbridge Wells Spa Hotels

I know Travelodge is a budget brand so expectations should be low but this must be one of the worst I’ve ever stayed in. It is an old hotel which Travelodge has taken over, it has refurbished the rooms which I must admit are comfortable but the central areas seem old and in need of some real improvement. It overlooks a Park, it’s a 15 minute walk from the town centre, there is a lot of missed potential here. Guests all gathered around the front door smoking is not a great look but the main problem is parking: Hardly any, expensive and no guarantee of a space if you go off and return . Hotel suggests you park in a residential road down the hill (which must really piss off the residents ) but most of it is on yellow lines and only useful after 6pm. Receptionist just smiled at me all the time while explain this and didn’t seem at all empathetic.

The room was clean and tidy, the tree was shaded outside the window, the environment was beautiful, there were several set menu options for breakfast, the chef made it now, other coffee, tea, bread and fruit buffet.

Parking, an efficient welcome, great room with bath, super comfortable bed, Roberts radio, kettle And Nespresso. Very helpful staff members in the restaurant, bar and housekeeping. A lovely breakfast of quality fare. Will definitely stay here again and try other hotels in the Coaching Inn group.

24th May 2024 We had the best day for our wedding at Salomons and couldn’t recommend it more to anyone looking for a wedding venue! Our wedding coordinator, Willow, and her team were incredible on the lead up to our big day & the day itself. Our day was stress free and seamless. The rooms were decorated beautifully, everything we asked for was there, Willow kept me in the loop, guided us through the day & was always on hand if we needed anything - we really could not have been happier. Food was exactly as we had at our tasting session, chefs cooked for 50 guests and plates were left clean! We had lots of decorations and extras, which Willow took on with no problems & assured me that nothing was too much. This includes accommodating our outside suppliers, some of them being a little last minute! Our cottage was lovely & clean, enough room for all the groomsmen’s morning of the wedding. Breakfast next day was appreciated and loved by all the next day. All our guests loved the day and said wonderful the venue & all the staff were! Thank you again! Mr & Mrs Mcintosh x

Express hotel, convenient.

Great find, very high quality rooms with good security etc The hotel serves great food and the inclusive breakfast is very good with wide choice. There is a large car park with electric charging points. The staff are very helpful and informative. The bar has a good range of beers and real ales etc

Perfect staff, homely ,very clean,nicely cooked non vegetarian breakfast. Hotel set back from main road,so no traffic noise. Nice view from top floor, but beware NO LIFT. Bed&pillows ,superb comfort. You need 3 hands,when in the shower! which is very modern. LOTS of local places to eat ,e.g. BILLS etc. Within walking distance of theatre, so i saw lots of nice rockn roll shows(pre booked on line). Local square was lovely to relax in the 5 days of sunshine. Nice car park. Looks like some great shows on around Oct, so I will have to return . BBC tv+radio,also a few other channels. Good value holiday
