The Vale Rusutsu Reviews

Please be reminded that the hotel check in has to be done before 18:00, after this time there will be no one at the reception and there is no option for distance online check in. Also hotline won't work after 6pm, so if your flight is delayed and you cannot contact the hotel before 18:00, you cannot check in and need to find alternative stay urgently. We managed to find another hotel near Chitose and they put an ipad at the reception for distance check in, we cannot help wondering why the same couldn't be done here, please at least make your hotline available before midnight. other than that, the hotel is clean, good condition and has a luxury feel.

Comfy and great location for Ski trip in Rusutsu Ski area. However, they don't provide room service and the dining option is lacked

Nice stylish condo-styled hotel with full in room facilities (cooking, washing machines, dryer etc) which is really gd for long stay. Suites are big & spacious, awesomely clean & superd decor. Onsen is decent & gd for a quick dip but a little small if compared to noborebetsu ones. Ski area is outstanding with ample storage for ski gear. Truly ski in/ski out resort if u can ski wel as you can hit the slopes once you're all geared up. For beginner, u hv to carry your ski gear & walk down the slopes or walk indoor cutting thru the connected walkway to the main rusutsu hotel. Conclusion, will love to stay here again & for longer duration...😀

This hotel is verry nice and friendy. Rooms is large and clean. Facilities is also clean.

The hotel has free parking, which is very convenient for friends traveling by car. Basically the hotel already includes breakfast and has 4 buffet breakfast options. There are many styles and they are all very delicious. Unfortunately, there are no options around the hotel, so you basically need to spend money at the hotel. So it is recommended to go to the supermarket to do some shopping before heading to the hotel. There are basically no facilities inside The Vale, only onsen. For food and entertainment, you have to walk 5 to 7 minutes to the nearby resort. Ski in ski out is ok. Buried locker. But renting gear is very average. Expensive and wasteful.

This is by far the best accommodation we’ve had in Japan. Nice and modern deco, spacious living/dining area and a full dry kitchen. Washer/dryer is essential and convenient. Ski in-out is a must for us and The Vale is excellent for this. Beautiful slopes in Rusutsu! We had a great experience!

We enjoyed our stay at the Vale, the apartment was well equipped and it’s a good spot to access the slopes. The onsen is a massive plus point if that’s your thing. We loved it. Rusutsu itself has some great skiing if not at the same time being ever so slightly odd - from the snow covered theme park at the base of the slopes to the animatronic dancing and singing bears…. The apartments are well equipped with everything you need as you would expect given the cost. Reception staff looked younger than my children so sometimes getting service was frankly hard work…the room included breakfast which actually means breakfast tokens - going to the places that provide breakfast is a good 10 minute walk so we reverted to using our vouchers to buy stuff from the onsite cafe the night before so we could get out to the slopes ina timely fashion. The locker room is lacking in bench space and the lockers themselves were on the very small side and not heated which really surprised us for a property so new. Your damp ski boots were still damp the next day so we took to taking them to our room to dry out overnight.

Nice room let us feel cozy & easy ski- in and ski- out. Small kitchen let you cooking. Washing machine and clothing dryer is equipment ed. Good ski and snowboard rental, you don't need to bring your own equipment. Cleaning hot spring let you easy to recover energy sfter all day of sking or snowboarding.

This team knows customer service! Excellent attention and helpfulness at every step; we felt very welcome and valued throughout our stay. The Vale is very comfortable in all respects, and the location is spot-on. Couldn’t expect more, really.

We loved our apartment, especially the wonderful views of the mountains. Staff were excellent and always helpful. The ski in and ski out facilities are excellent. We loved our early coffee at the cafe, the staff were delightful. We tried all the restaurants in the resort and enjoyed them all. The concierge also booked some local restaurants for dinner using the Vale hotel van to take us there and back. We had trouble finding a taxi to take us back to the airport , however again, the concierge organised a hotel van to take us there, so this was excellent. Sincere thanks to the Vale in Rusutsu

Having arrived home after 3 fabulous weeks at The Vale Rusutsu we are still talking about the amazing experience. Rhett and his young energetic team could not do enough to make our stay an experience to remember. From the smallest domestic details to dinner bookings, airport transfers etc, everything ran like clockwork. Several of the staff speak fluent Japanese and were always helpful when communicating with the locals. The resort was extremely busy with a large number of guests, yet service and attention to detail was maintained throughout, a great credit to manager Rhett's professionalism. As always the snow was reliable and the skiing great! We will be back.
