Kings Head Inn

My thanks to everyone at the Kings Head Inn for the wonderful time my Mum and I had on our recent short break with you. We stayed in bungalow 2 which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It provided all the amenities we would require for the duration of our stay. There is also ample free parking on site. Although we stayed at the end of September, the weather was still fairly warm but the large fan provided in the room helped considerably. Our breakfast was included in the room rate, and the choice each day was wonderful - we particularly liked the coffee! As we didn't want to travel too far each day, we decided to eat in the restaurant each evening, and again could not fault the food, the choice or the portion sizes. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Kings Head, and hope to be able to return at some point.

Had a brilliant stay at the kings head inn. very pleased with our room, it was very nice, clean and spacious! Breakfast was amazing, staff very welcoming and friendly will definitely be returning at a later date. We came to Rye for a friend's wedding and decided to make a weekend out of it and we are very pleased we did.

We stopped by for food (as our usual pub /Restaurant we like to eat at when we travel to Winchelsea The Oak I Peas marsh was closed 12..30pm!) So we decided to swing by The Kind Head Inn - and what a lovely pub it is too! A very warm welcome by the landlady I assume who was extremely pleasant and friendly. The menu was amazing as was the food! we enjoyed 2 courses and a swift 1/2 before we got on our way ! we have now found a new place to eat, which we would not have stopped at if our usual eatery was open! Please give this pub a visit you will not be disappointed!

Met some friend I hadn't seen for 8 years for lunch here yesterday. The staff were wonderful and let us stay on as long as we wanted. The food was amazing too. Chose here as equidistant for everyone and good parking and it was all truly fabulous.

Had our reception here. Everyone at the King's head inn made our event very very special. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was so helpful and kind. Each and every one of them deserves a special mention. Definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying and/or eating here

We had a lovely night stay here. We met with family who had travelled similar distance to us for a catch up. Lovely food. We had an evening meal and breakfast. Both delicious We were well looked after by Amanda and all the friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was to much bother. Then had a lovely day in Rye

Overnight stay. Clean and comfortable accommodation, lots of attention to detail. We had an evening meal in the restaurant ( booked a table when we checked in ), our meal was excellent...excellent quality ingredients and presentation. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend and we would definitely return.

Greeted by the manageress Amanda who was friendly and very efficient and also informative about the inn and about Rye town where to go. Met the chef Jim who cooked some outstanding dishes. Overall outstanding property looking forward to our return.

This is an old Inn with modern very comfortable and clean accommodation in cottages adjacent. Plenty of self contained space, excellent bathroom and shower and very close to the pub for very good food etc. Beware it can get busy at peak times obviously due to its quality and value so meal reservations are recommended. The Kings Head is about 10 minute walk downhill into Rye which is fabulous with genuinely quaint shops, coffee places and of course the Mermaid Inn on the cobbled street. The Kings Head has a sister restaurant in Rye next to the church called Fletchers but it was closed in June while we were there. It looked good but it didn’t matter as the Inn was excellent and we shall return. Staffing of course is the key to success and everyone was smiley and helpful at all times. Amilee and Amanda were two we really appreciated but absolutely everyone is so helpful.
