I found a room at a modest price and included the sauna and the use of the pool as well as breakfast. Despite the obvious efforts and difficulties of post-pandemics, the reception remains open until 23:00 with a great multilingual service. The comfortable room is still used with a moquette, while the bathroom is obsolete but with new accessories. B&B Hotel Saarbrücken-Hbf is a modern relatively low-rise hotel straight out of the minimalist, supremely efficient playbook. The rooms are clean, functional and comfortable. No chintz here just a well designed pod. There is, however, a railway theme to the decor that reflects the central railway station, Saarbrücken-Hbf, that the hotel adjoins. Don't worry about noise as our room overlooked the railway tracks, the double glazing and insulation did the trick. The City centre is on the other side of the tracks, literally, and is a five minute walk away through the train station itself. The old town is further ten-minute walk - definitely worth a visit. So ideally placed for visiting Saarbrücken and ideally priced - well done.

Nothing special about it and nothing wrong with it in a city with fewer options than one might hope for. Location across the river from where all the action is, 15 minutes minimum walk. Friendly and helpful front desk staff, clean and functional rooms featuring the leak-prone shower doors one expects throughout Europe at this price point. Free on-street parking weekends and 8 pm to 8 am weekdays, 11€ for secure hotel parking. Okay Mexican restaurant within. The elevator begins up a short flight of stairs from entry level lobby.

If you are looking for a cheap and central accommodation with good transport connections in Saarbrücken, you can do nothing wrong with this hotel. At least not if you don't expect 5-Sterne-Wellness-Hotel. Admitted: The single rooms are small and you have to have some experience in the tetris games to unpack a larger bag here. The house is also bright, but it hasn't further disturbed me - there you know that the room neighbor snurrs and uses the Oropax made available ;) Something was angry for me, that no fitting is made available - which is, I think, a standard equipment. When doing the shower you need to be skillful to not put the half of the bathroom under water. Otherwise I can only report positive: The rooms are certainly not up-to-date (and my taste is not the window color deco), but very clean for it! Breakfast buffet is not extravagant, but delicious and more than OK. The staff is madly friendly, careful and helps with any problem.

Food in restaurant was very good with lots of choice. Facilities were basic which reflect the age of place. But we had all we need. No lift and walking up two flights of stairs with luggage was a bit difficult. Otherwise staff were very friendly.
