Great hotel Don’t expect luxury but given the price point you know this already The rooms are small but functional with everything you need for your stay including a great coffee machine that’s topped up daily. Breakfast is well beyond what I was expecting and had cereals, meats, yoghurts, breads, cheeses, sausages, eggs and probably much more! Plus more really good coffee! Located 5 minutes walk to Bayard ski rental, and an additional 1 minute to the Gornergrat railway taking you up onto the slopes From the hotel, you can be on the train in under 10 minutes. Staff are really helpful and allowed us to keep our bags there on the last day even though we’d checked out. There’s a quick lift to all floors. I would highly recommend the hotel if your plans are to ski all day, go out on an evening and use it as a place to sleep. Would certainly return

I was very happy with interlaken youth hostel and decided to book zermatt youth hostel. Free Good Breakfast, although a toaster would have been nice but they have good coffee machine and good collections of tea bags. Clean property and good view of Matterhorn from dining area! The property did not mention that the bus do not go anymore to 'luchre' stoppage. The property is quite high up in the mountain. The bus left me a place way below to the stoppage. so it was very hard to take luggage up to the property. Also, the distance between Luchre bus stop and the property is also bit long. considering the steepness. Second thing, the property does not have lift! It was really really hard to go up to 3rd floor with luggage. For me, a kind romanian staff helped me to take the suitcase to the 3rd floor. I also find the room (most probably 138 or 134) that I had been given at the very last corner of the corridor, which is fine. but opposite to that room, there is another property whose bedroom or lounge room facing my room, The room does not have curtain. it was very uncomfortable. Interlaken youth hostel has the curtain. not all the room needs curtain, but some room facing other properties, I strongly recommend this small addition. when I mentioned that to the lady, she said, go to a hotel, this is hostel. I replied, Interlaken has curtain. she did not reply. while leaving, the lady staff was very rude and said no one can help you to get the suitcase down. One gentleman was kind and helped me. This property is good. unfortunately, it is not possible perhaps to add lift or change location. but they can add curtain for sure.

The hotel has some traces of history. It is a traditional mountain cabin hotel, very authentic. The location is a bit far from Zermatt train station, but very close to the cable car station, making it very convenient to go to Glacier Paradise. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Although the facilities are relatively old, they have everything you need. It's a very cozy hotel. Thanks to the staff for upgrading our room to a double terrace room! One of the terraces faces the Matterhorn! Another terrace offers views of the river. Sitting on the terrace in the evening, having a simple dinner, enjoying the mountain view and the sound of running water, it is very relaxing. and! When you wake up in the morning, you can see the golden sunrise over the Matterhorn! The breakfast here is also delicious! Love their croissants the most. Very satisfied with this stay ~

This store is highly recommended! Very warm, with an independent bathroom, the focus is clean, the location is good and there is a small balcony, the heating is enough, the room is a bathroom, every day to disturb the room! The store manager is super good, and I will shake hands with us to say some friendly greetings! Really recommend!

Excellent value and good option instead of paying high prices in Zermatt 15 minutes away. Across the road from train station and Zermatt shuttle. Good size room with tv, balcony, kettle, tea, coffee. Nice bathroom. Buffet breakfast with hot and cold options. Restaurant has lots of choices and big serves. Lovely staff. Hope to stay again.

This is a hotel next to Niglous station. Get off the bus it takes 3 minutes to get there. People here are really very friendly. As soon as we got off the train, there was a bus driver who took the initiative to stop and tell us the direction of the hotel. Since we went back very late, the self-check-in was not smooth. The bar uncle and the customers inside the hotel enthusiastically helped us find a way. Give us a lot of warmth. The windows of this room are very large and can be opened all of them. Extremely quiet and the perfect choice. The breakfast is also very good. This place is three stops from Zermatt and takes about half an hour by car. We will come again.

We absolutely loved our stay. Everything, the friendly welcome, the room, and especially the breakfast were wonderful. The hotel is ideally situated close to the train station, as well as restaurants. The receptionist could not have been any more helpful in answering our many questions. Lovely hotel in quiet area of Zermatt. Spacious, comfortable and clean rooms. Small kitchenette for any self-catering. Really good breakfast with lots of choice. Vast majority of staff very friendly and helpful. We had to leave before breakfast on our last day and the staff kindly provided us with a food package. Would have given 5 stars but we were on the top floor and the room was very hot. To be fair, we were shown a room on the first floor when I asked for a possible alternative but we decided to stay put. They did provide a fan but given that heat rises the room stayed pretty warm throughout the night. The whole problem could have been easily solved by allowing guests to open the velux windows but we were told that previous guests had caused damage. Easy walking distance to station and centre of Zermatt with all its bars and restaurants. The spa was out of use when we visited so I can't comment on this.
