The Castillo Real was a very nice hotel. The restaurant La Cocina was very good. The rooms were large. The location was very good-right across the bridge from St. Augustine. Rhonda at the front desk was very helpful. Parking was ample. The hotel is under renovations. We really didn't hear any noise. The one negative was room service was inconsistent. They came on a day we didn't expect it & didn't come on a day we were expecting. Other than that I would recommend the hotel highly.

This is a very nice hotel and we were very comfortable. The only problem was that it was under consturction, so the amenities were not available and the workers on the floor above us started banging at & am. I would highly recommend this hotel after they finish remodeling.

We have stayed here 2-3 times prior to our stay this past weekend. I booked the room back in January. First of all, the rate had dropped about $50 for the night since I booked. But more importantly, I was not notified that the resort was undergoing construction/remodeling ahead of time as we would have probably cancelled. Our room was on the third floor, ocean side, clearly still unfinished and sp**** furnishings. Additionally, I was informed at check in there was now a $10 charge to park. Also not disclosed ahead of time. There was literally zero communication directly with anyone via email at this resort as I tried. This is supposedly turning into a Hilton Tapestry chain which is no big deal but very disappointed in this visit regardless. Not sure I would return.
