This was my second time staying at the Castillo Inn. It is a wonderful location, with just a short walk to the city historic section. The rooms themselves are very clean. The staff was very pleasant. The beds were comfortable. It is a very basic facility, however. Simple things could really improve the stay. (i.e. Tissues in the bathroom; coffee available in the lobby.)
For a comfortable, reasonably priced place near downtown, the Castillo Inn is the answer.

Served its purpose while in the area on business. Bed was a bit creeky which was a bit annoying but other than that it was your standard no frills motel.

The room was extremely dirty and rundown. There were no curtains on the window, just some blinds that did not extend across the full width. I cancelled my second night, and the owner was very apologetic for putting me in that room, but they were fully booked. She offered another room, which was in much better shape, but I declined.

Close to alot to do around fort. Easy checkin, very basic room no coffee pot of any kind, some outlets didnt work. But for a place to lay your head a good price compared to others.

FLOORS HAVE NOT BEEN CLEANED AT ALL. A PRODUCT CALLED BLEACH, WOULD DO WONDERS FOR BATHROOM AND SHOWER AREA. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK HERE

Unfortunately this property is not up to standards. The rooms have a funny smell. All the items in the room were probably picked up at a garage sale. The pillows, bed coverings, etc. do not look new. There was no hot water. It came back once, but then disappeared again. The staff was kind, and respectful, but I am sure they too know that this place should be demolished, and rebuilt brand new. The images on *******'s web site are very misleading. I do expect a full refund for this stay. Taking a shower in very cold water when it was very cold outside is not what my doctor recommends. Looking forward to hearing back from somebody.

The towels are very very dirty and stained, bad smell in mattresses and pillows. We had to go buy towels.
