I want to start out be saying that I have been a guest of the Conch House for the last 20 years. This is a place we look forward to staying at every summer with friends from home and friends we have met while staying there over the years. We stay in the same rooms every time. Either 4, 3, 2 or 1. Mostly 4 and 3. The 1st thing I noticed when we arrived was the gate around the pool. I certainly understand if this was put up for safety reasons. Though I do not know if that is the case. The worst thing about that gate is the staff locks it at 9pm! Every hotel I have ever stayed at, the pool was open till at least 10pm. The pool is one of the things we enjoy the most when visiting. We then get into our room and to our surprise it had been renovated. It looked beautiful. However, the kitchen was gone. We, most times, stay anywhere from 3-5 days. The kitchen was nice to have so that we could bring our own food. Now, there is only a "coffee bar" with a microwave, coffee pot and a small refrigerator. We had to go to the office to ask for a toaster. With all of this being said, we kept positive vibes throughout our stay. These are some of things that I noticed... the pool is kind of cringy. It needs to be cleaned. I mean, drained and pressure washed. In the mornings, the water was very cloudy but cleared up as the day progressed. The fan in the living room could not be kept on without the lights being on. The remote control was lost, and the office could not find a spare. The hostess at the Restaurant was not friendly at all. Very sergeant like. Attitude about how many people we had and wouldn't seat us until the entire party was there and we literally were all walking in her direction from our room. Ordered one of our friends to throw his beer can away. That was not a problem for us. It's the way she demanded it. We also were not given our drink tickets at check in to which they advertise when booking online. We did go to the office the next morning to retrieve them. With all of this being said, the cleaning staff were very nice and accommodating as well as the employee that walked around at night locking the pool. I hope management takes these reviews seriously because we sure would like to keep vising the Conch House.

This was our 3rd time and it was Free. But, they gave us the same exact room we had before. The TV did not work properly. The Kitchen was dirty and no bulb on the overhead light. The bedroom smelled really funny and needs to be painted really badly. The lights on the end tables had not been dusted in a long time. Dylan, the Owner's son is Awesome and he really does his Best. I just wish the whole resort was finished being remodeled.

To management and/or owner, This past Saturday 3/16/2024 , an unnecessary incident occurred at the Conch House bar. A friend and I, after returning from a fishing charter, went up the gangway into the outdoor/dock bar to grab five drinks (no signage observed of no outside drinks or food). When getting to the bar to order, a server said to my friend that had a drink from outside/fishing that he would have to put it in a cup, pour it out or leave. He said he was not going to put it in a cup. I asked him to go back down, and I would order. He left and while I was leaning on the flip-up portion of the counter trying to order, she forcefully said get out of my way and flipped the counter up, banging my arm (if you have video, you will clearly see it). Then she proceeded toward him where he was mostly down the gangway yelling exactly what I cannot say as I was trailing and a bit hard of hearing. He then gave her a middle finger. That was that, as we both and others were on the dock awaiting our catch to be cleaned by the charter personnel, a male bar employee came out yelling at my friend (way later, and he had not returned to the bar) get out of here in an aggressive manner with profanity. I am trespassing you and that you will leave one way or another (please be mindful my friend was on the lower boat dock). I will call the police. My friend then gave him the middle finger. The male bar employee yelled a bit more, and then went back into the bar. We all stayed on the lower dock waiting for the captain and crew to finish cleaning and bagging our catch. When done, we proceeded down the lower docks and up the gangway near the parking lot to be met by the same male bar employee yelling and coming toward our entire group in the police’s presence that is him trespass him and again yelling get out of here. The officer told the bar employee to go away and asked us all to go out to the parking lot. The officer did what he was obligated to by trespassing my friend as a personal business employee had requested. Now, as the officer returned my friend’s ID, he stated that after he first met the bar employee, he knew he was an aggressive, angry person but had to do his job by trespassing my friend as requested. That being said, my family and friends have celebrated birthday dinners and personally have had dinner with my immediate family many-many times without incident. However, there are many other establishments to visit and with the behaviours of these two employees and a bruised arm, I will never step foot in this restaurant or bar and would suggest to anyone reading to do the same. Our fun-filled day turned into an unpleasant experience for these two employees that will surely be experienced by future customers!

What a place!! Great bar with phenomenal drinks and atmosphere. Marina vibe complete with boats and pet alligators. Food was great and reasonable and the staff super friendly, responsive, and accommodating to our request to move when it was too cold under one of the elevated cabanas. The conch Fritters were a group (6 of us) favorite and so were the sandwiches with fresh ingredients, and well cooked seafood.

Will never go back again. Lied to and disrespected. We made reservations for specific rooms. When we got there they told us that some of our party had to stay in the old rooms across the street. Not livable. When we showed them the confirmation that we had they said their internet was down and couldn't confirm. They had no problems processing the credit cards so I don't think the internet was the problem. They did refund the charges and we luckily found 3 rooms for 3 nights somewhere else in the area on new years eve! If I could give negative stars I would.

I wanted to write a recent review since there were a few negatives here about the resort needing work. The place is gorgeous, and clearly updated. (Photos included). The room is designed for comfort. The beds are comfy, and the bathroom has the largest shower I’ve had at a hotel. Everything is for convenience- from the top notch coffee station, to the remote control to control the thermostat. I don’t smoke, but it’s nice having chairs outside your door with an ashtray provided. The pool is 12 steps from my room. The restaurant (beautiful water views), is not much farther. The front desk check in was flawless. Truly the perfect place to relax, or to go to the many nearby sites.

The room was clean and updated. The grounds need lots of work. You could see this used to be a great place to stay. There were two queen beds on was great the other squeaky. Be sure to bring pods for your coffee. I didn't know and brought reg coffee and filters. Close driving to restaurants. I wouldn't return. But i can see they are trying to update the resort.

This place is great! The restaurant is amazing the lounge has live action and it’s near everything! These people bend over backwards to make your trip perfect!! The kitchen is adequate to reheat some leftovers and cook some basic meals. Overall very clean . In full disclosure the units are being updated though they will always be quaint old school Florida units. Full living room , separate bedroom bathroom and kitchenette. In addition there is ample parking and a huge covered porch to hang out under. The grounds are pristine and the pool is great too.Highly recommend!!

Room #2 in the original 4-room motel built in 1946 and it is soo cool! Great restaurant and marina bar on the water is over-the-top an awesome place to stay. We stayed for two nights while visiting St. Augustine amphitheater for a rock concert and we were only 1.5 miles away. We felt like we were on the set of I love Lucy. The place is quaint and cozy and we love the nice pool surrounded by tropical foliage. We have already booked three nights in October 2022!

I don’t normally have the time to write reviews but this one really needed it. We usually have a tough time as a young family of 7. With 5 kids under 9, we don’t usually feel welcomed at restaurants but the conch house was amazing and so welcoming to us. The manager got right on seating us way sooner than we deserved, he was kind and so interactive with our kids and they went above and beyond for us. Food was excellent. I’m a huge foodie and very picky, I was impressed. The kids meals were huge and cheap. We sat in one of the huts and it was the most relaxing place ever. We watched dolphins, fish and cool crabs from above and enjoyed our time thoroughly. I could have stayed there all day.
