Bayfront Westcott House Bed & Breakfast

We cannot say enough good things about this B&B and the wonderful staff. The location is perfect. It is a waterfront property and the house, and grounds are impeccably restored and maintained. It is super clean, and the food is out of this world. It is a very short walk to the downtown, historic district and dozens of great bars, restaurants and shops. It is also a short walk to the Fort, a trolly stop, horse drawn carriage tours, the Bridge of Lions and sailboat rides. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable. The staff always greeted us with a smile and bent over backwards to make our stay memorable. They offered suggestions for attractions and good places to eat and even made our reservations for us with third parties. We will definately be returning. Absolutely love this house!!

Excellent breakfasts

Caroline room is elegant with large tub in a bay window, comfortable bed, room beautifully appointed. First class! Breakfast delicious and filling, happy hour offering varied and delicious. Staff superb!! In a perfect spot for walking to so many great locations such as Lightner, Zoryada, King St galleries, restaurants... Only downside is parking. Get a metered spot in front of the building or be prepared to walk a ways to the lot! We will definitely be back!

The Abigail room was spacious and comfortable. We always regret not taking our own pillows on vacation but these ones were very nice, the bed comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive, Justin checked us in and informed us about everything.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here, the staff were fantastic, met all our needs with a smile. The Breakfast was served hot and delicious along with accommodating our early departure. The Happy hour appetizers were delicious and plentiful. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms kept cool during the hot summer like days we were experiencing. Would definitely recommend to all our friends. The location was perfect too.

First class all the way! An absolutely beautiful B&B in a a very convenient location, and with a friendly and helpful staff who provide A+ service. The rooms beautifully appointed and very clean. We were in the Caroline room with a king bed, a lovely antique tub (which we didn't use) and a nice big shower (which we DID use). The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was made to order with a special daily entree, but the option to instead choose your eggs (and ingredients), breakfast meats, breads, and other items. Soft drinks, bottled water and coffee were available throughout the day, and the happy hour spread was amazing. Happy hour included beer and wine as well as an impressive array of snacks prepared on-site. There are multiple areas outside (a side porch, a patio, an upstairs veranda, a large front porch) with very comfortable wicker style furniture where you can hang out and chat while enjoying the view of the bay or the garden and enjoy the breeze. This place is a gem and again, the service was A+! We will definitely be visiting again. So you're not surprised, a few tips: Like most B&B, the house is old (but beautifully restored) and the furnishings are antique and antique style, so there was an armoire in our room and no dresser or closet. In our room (Caroline), there were nice wooden blinds on the three windows, but note that they do not block all the light once the sun comes up. If you're sensitive to that, bring eye masks for sleeping (we always travel with them, so not a problem for us). Our bed (and the floor, somewhat) was made of lovely old wood, but because of that was a bit noisy creaky.

Beautiful place. Location was the best. Quiet area across from the bay but walking distance to all the areas. Staff was great and breakfast was amazing! They have a different breakfast planned daily but u can choose eggs/bacon if u like. We stayed in Elizabeth (103). Spacious, close to kitchen (u will get woken earlier than planned by talking and the smell of coffee and bacon) but not the end of the world. Room had 2 double beds. Wish they had a small frig to place leftovers in so we didn’t need to toss them out. Bathroom had large shower but only one could get ready at a time. Also not a big deal for us. For our first B&B this was definitely a great choice and will stay here again when headed this way.

We've always stayed at Embassy Suites. However, staying at the Westcott was a high point. Service was absolutely excellent from. Everyone. Everyone was warm and inviting. This was a wonderful experience for our 20th anniversary. Thanks for making our week precious.
