I stayed to walk the CTC across the UK. It was right next to the train station, so I could see the train passing by from the window, which was very romantic. Although the sound of the train passing by is a little loud. The room was so comfortable!
Seacote Hotel

We stayed here for one night before setting off on our 15 day Coast to Coast Hike to Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire. The building externally & internally isn’t the most attractive of hotels; a bit dated and uninspiring. However the hotel was clean, the room was pleasant with a sea view and the bathroom was also clean and adequate for our one night stay. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food isn’t going to win any prizes, but was wholesome and of good quality-my only complaint was the size of the portions- massive! Too much to be honest, and a lot of food seemed to be heading back to the kitchen. The two tables either side of us, and ourselves included said the food was nice, but the portions overwhelming and sadly we couldn’t finish the main courses. For the purpose of our one night stay, Seacote was ok, but I wouldn’t return for a ‘treat’ or longer stay.
