The location is perfect if you are visiting the State Fair or Como Zoo/Como Park and the space in the renovated train building is wonderful. This is a heavily family use hotel and pets are welcome as well so prepare yourself that the rooms look like they take a bit of a beating. Housekeeping does the best they can but no amount of dusting and vacuuming is going to hide curtains partially off or torn, carpet patches and stains, scratches on the furniture etc. The wi fi was fast and it worked and I was here to worship near by for Holy Week and Easter and it was great for my purposes. But, I would have to think hard about staying here again as it is very noisy. The pool area, bar area and breakfast bar, meeting rooms and front desk are in the bottom of an open atrium and there is constant noise and I was on the 2nd floor. I had to wear ear plugs in order to sleep. The shower had NO water pressure. Even though this is a pet friendly hotel and I saw dogs, I only heard one bark once. If I had mobility issues, I would definitely not stay here. The lobby floor is an uneven concrete pour over what used to be a rail bed and the sidewalk outside is buckling or heaving, especially if you end up having to walk to or from the overflow parking. If you get in after 6, pretty much count on having to park in overflow as the designated lot does not have a lot of spaces. Also, it is narrow, so any pickups or larger vehicles, you are going to want to park in overflow anyway, even with a car I recommend pulling in your side mirrors if you park in the small lot.
