Sowell Hotels la Plage

Nous aimons beaucoup le concept de All inclusive (Sowell ou autre) mais là il n’a pas été à la hauteur. La qualité du buffet laisse à désirer, beaucoup moins de choix que dans certains autres Sowell et le peu qu’il y avait ne nous a pas conquis. La chambre après très peu d’année aurait besoin d’un coup de peinture… la terrasse extérieur avec une table en plastique et une terrasse sale … pas ça dans un 4 étoiles !! Mention spéciale aux femmes de chambres et aux serveurs du restaurant !!

We were able to compare it with the Arles complex where the quality is better, it's not really as luxurious as you might think. And if we base it on the prices, it’s not a bargain and even on promotion. The catering is not of quality but passable.

Take the example of the clubs in Turkey and Morocco, there are enough lounge chairs for everyone. The restaurant rooms are large and appropriate for the number of people. The waiters and cleaning ladies were perfect except for this young French girl who carried her tray around while the guys were working??? the buffet you can't help yourself there is no room. There is a lack of supervision in your establishment.

Room that stinks of mustiness and humidity, difficult access to our room 300, the buffet leaves something to be desired, dining room far too small, it reminds me of the cafeteria at high school! In short, very disappointed. Exorbitant price for the service.

The hotel is too far from the center, it is not possible to walk every day. Restaurant room too small. Bar no seats when it rains the terrace we abandon it??? . The lunch basket not during times when it rains every day. The staff is very good. the cleaning ladies are very professional and friendly. the waiters were very nice, very accommodating, except for this young French trainee perhaps who was carrying her tray around instead of clearing it. The roadside terrace isn't great but as it was raining it wasn't a problem. As for frozen versus frozen meals?? and the buffet is not spread out enough, you don't have room. We will not return to Sowell St Raphaël. We wouldn't say no to checking out other Sowell hotels.

I stayed 2 days on an all-inclusive basis. The room was clean with a nice view of the sea 😍 (it must be said that the weather was beautiful!), the restaurant staff is very friendly and professional (tables cleared and cleaned very quickly), the buffet was stocked and of good quality and the all-inclusive formula allowed us to prepare beautiful salads for a hike to Mont Vinaigre 😀 as well as small aperitifs on the rooftop. I highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

1 star because you can't put less!!! Only one piece of advice to give you, GO YOUR WAY AND RUN AWAY!!!! We had booked in this “4-star hotel” for its so-called “heated” swimming pool… despite the noise of the machinery which is unbearable, the latter is heated between 18 and 20 degrees!!! A joke!!! We booked a comfort room with terrace and ended up in a standard room with balcony!!! We were kindly explained that the terraces were “reserved” for regulars!!! The quality of the buffet is pitiful and from there, we are told that the buffet is not part of the hotel section and is therefore not considered 4*!!! Impossible to stay in this establishment, we asked to be reimbursed but as we went by private trip, they are in vain! No negotiation possible! I will ignore the fact that the manager asked the cleaning company to no longer clean our room because we were in dispute!!! In short, we are not going to stop there and are going to contact the competent organizations to ensure that this establishment stops its practices!! Remember our reservation carefully because the procedure has only just begun!

Well located hotel, spacious clean rooms, comfortable bedding, pleasant and helpful staff. The only downside is the quality of the catering, both for meals and breakfast, apart from the raw vegetables, everything is industrial, the cooked dishes are of very poor quality. After a week we went around it. For a 4 star it’s right at that level!

Very good welcome. Comfortable, clean rooms. On the other hand, catering not up to par...hot buffet not cooked, very poor cold dishes, long restocking...tables not set up on the terrace. Hot drinks dispensers not always available (maintenance during service) Sowell customers for a long time, we will put all these problems down to the start of the season not yet established. Having booked in June with family, we hope for a clear improvement…
