This is a very disappointing property. So let’s start with the fact that our room did not have air conditioning, working TV, and a refrigerator that would leak periodically all over the floor which we had to pack towels around. By the way we were spending over $700.00 a night for this mess. So we did what every other guest would do and went to speak to the manager and see if we could switch our room. Hotel management said that there was nothing they could do as they had no rooms to transfer us too. Our room stayed at about 80 degrees the whole 3 days we stayed there (we did try to find another property but most were fully booked). So we had to sleep on top of the sheets and would sweat right through them, did I mention that we were paying $700.00 a night?? Anyway, When I asked if we could speak to the GM the front desk manager said “ the General Manager does not talk to you people” that’s right, she said “you people”meaning guests. It is glaringly obvious that the staff at this place hates their jobs, most were like a school of fish, you could see them but if you approached them for help, directions, etc, they would run the other way, we made a game of chasing them down. The pool area looked like spring break with all the trash in and out of the pools and hotel staff would just pass by all the trash like it wasn’t there, just nasty. They did finally comp us a night for “our troubles (after begging for a fan to help us simply survive). Look the bottom line is; If you are unsure if you want to take a cruise to ST Thomas or stay on the island, TAKE THE CRUISE!! The midnight shift janitor on the cruise ship will take better care of you than the staff at this property. And before the hotel can drop their blah-blah-blah (We try our best) below, I have receipts, we took pictures and videos. On a positive note, the excursions outside the hotel were pretty fun but they really cater to the cruise ship guests so you may be better off there as well. Wish I could say that this Resort (said very loosely) made our vacation, but sadly it really hampered our experience. If we ever decide to come back to ST Thomas you can bet it will be on a cruise.
