Kendra at the pool side bar was a wealth of knowledge on where to go and what to see on our trip to St. Thomas. She really made our trip much better and was a total sweetheart to my wife and I with information, not only on where to go, but where not to go. AND!!!… she makes great tropical drinks!

Pretty location and views, good beach, decent food…be prepared to walk, broken ice machines, jet fuel coffee, barely any breeze on the harbor side of the resort got really hot in May…food was better than expected based on past reviews and pricing was to be expected , $21 burger and fries, $10 craft beers…not much to do around resort unless you take an taxi

This resort is in a great location and looks beautiful. Checking in at 4pm room was not ready, they were supposed to call us and never did. We checked back in on status around 530 and a room was ready. We were on a separate tower and it was incredibly far away, not a huge deal but the room had small ants in the bathroom. Not 20 mins after we were in the room someone knocked on the door and tried to enter. Personnel asking if we had just checked in. The service at the desk was not good. She was distracted, talking to other personnel and not paying attention to what she was doing in addition to not being very helpful. For 800/night we expect better service. Bar service was good.

Was in St Thomas for 8 days- we went to a few places to stay. Last year when visiting we saw this still under construction. Read alot of mixed reviews so tried to keep an open mind when checking in. Check in was smooth, instead of room keys have wrist bands that open your door and lets staff know you are a guest. Our room was pretty nice, wood looking floors, mini fridge, nice Ocean View. There were 2 metal water bottles that were for our taking to use at hydration stations to keep hydrated, which was nice touch. The only negative i can say about the room is - the barn door to the bathroom is waverly glass and you can def make out see when someone is on the toilet or what is going on in the bathroom. Def would not be my choice for "doors". We were on the 7th floor, everything was well marked to find things. There are several pool areas, all very resort/relaxing vibe looking. We went to the Edge bar for a cocktail believe around $15-$16 for a drink fabulous views while enjoying a drink. We wanted to go down to the beach- there is an elevator to take you down-however it was not working. We opted to take the stairs down-which was nicely broken up- easy to do. They also provide shuttles. There is a beautiful beach, which looks like could be strong currents, sandy (not for snorkeling). We walked along the beach there are additionally 3 restaurants part of the Bouy House property. Did a catamaran snorkel tour on the Frenchman Reef new sailboat. Its beautiful. The dock is on property easy to get to. So nice to be able to have activities on sight so not having to drive or get a taxi to. Shorebird, was a nice restaurant for breakfast, $32 buffet. Had a great selection of all the breakfast items. Felt it was one of the more well priced meals we had. We asked for late checkout was able to extend our checkout time by 2 hours. It looked like the resort was very busy with lots of people. Feel its def great for couples or ones with adult kids. Not sure I would want to travel here if I had small children. Views of great sunsets, and watching the cruise ships come in and out of port was extra bonus.

Our business trip led us to the Westin Frenchman’s Reef, but it's not a place I'd recommend returning to. The experience was marred by lengthy room delays for most of our group and abysmal service throughout. Restaurant staff seemed indifferent, leading to excruciatingly long dinners with missing menu items. Even when we brought our own snacks, housekeeping disposed of them while neglecting to clean properly. The hotel's remote location made transportation a hassle and incurred steep fees. Maintenance issues, like malfunctioning sliding doors and inadequate air conditioning, compounded our discomfort during meetings. Lunch breaks were marred by delays, leaving many without food. Adding insult to injury, they botched our credit card charges, leaving me with an unexpected $700 bill months later. It is inconceivable to me how such a significant charge could be processed without any prior notification or explanation. This demonstrates a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and a lack of transparency in your billing practices. As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member for many years, I am deeply disappointed by this experience. Not only has it tarnished my perception of The Westin Frenchman’s Reef, but it has also led me to reevaluate my loyalty to the Marriott brand as a whole. I expected far better trea**ent from an establishment of your caliber and reputation. Save yourself the trouble; this place is a total disappoin**ent. Travelers, beware!!!

Yep, the bad reviews are correct. While my wife did enjoy the spa, the rest of the customer service stories seem to be accurate. Excruciatingly long times for food at the bar, inattentive staff, the bartender giving half our lunch to someone else then eating mine since they couldn't figure out what to do (???). It is unfortunate since it's a nice appearing property.

The property, amenities, pools, rooms was as expected. Clean, most in great shape and aside minor facility issues, I give it a solid A. No problems with check in/out, air con in room, view, and overall dining experiences. Expect a five star hotel with two/three star “island time” service restaurant services. We have been on the BVIs a week before and learned to slow down….However, we are paying a bit more and mostly received better service than most other places so keep that it mind coming from a New Yorker who thinks WAIT is a “four letter word” :-) In the end …. positive all around…. Except one nasty incident. The front desk clearly stated there was complete reciprocity on using Bouy Haus and their restaurant, beaches, water sporty things and pools. If you enter the pool area facing the Westin hotel there’s no signs except “Bouy Haus”. We took up a small lounge chair and went to the pool. Ordered a few round of drinks, charged to our obvious Westin hotel room and was wearing the Westin fabric bracelets. We were there for about 45 min to an hour as we had lunch reservations at Salt Shack next door in an hour. Our “fatal mistake” is when we did a quick 10 minute lie down in the cabanas. After we were getting up to head to lunch. Mr Ricky accompanied by security - blocked myself and my fiancée and stated “what is my intentions here?” if this isn’t passive-aggressive, I don’t know what is! Of course I said “why, what’s the problem?” He berated me.
