Mr & MRS Smith Salcombe Harbour Hotel

A friend bought this for my birthday and it was so wonderful, the staff were so helpful and friendly, and the spa itself was so calm and quiet and warm. I loved it! I then went and had a full body hot stone massage from one of the staff called Tori - she was absolutely incredible! She talked me through the treatment with such a friendly tone and was so patient and kind with me. I couldn't reccommend it more, and if you get the option to have Tori in your massage I would highly reccomend, she is amazing!

I visited the hotel for my birthday this weekend and the experience was amazing. From the moment I walked into the restaurant Adam offered me a drink straight away and seated outside in front of the most beautiful view. I was then served by Bo who brought out the most incredible cream tea. She noticed when our glasses were getting empty and offered a top up without having to ask. I then had a spa day booked with massages and facials included. Katie the spa manager was so welcoming at the desk and showed us where to go. Me and my friend had massages by Katie and Maddie. Both therapists were incredible. They made us feel super comfortable and relaxed the whole way through. Katie even made me a little bag up for my birthday which I thought was such a lovely touch. I couldn’t recommend her enough. The perfect day out for any birthday. Thankyou team harbour for making my birthday so special.

Friendly and helpful staff, great facilities including fitness centre, pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc balcony with lovely estuary views. A fabulous few days and can't wait to go again.

This hotel is in the most picturesque position and we took full advantage of it by choosing a sea view window. The staff were very helpful, especially when I needed my knee gadget frozen in their freezer. We enjoyed dinner on the first night, though it was expensive for what we had and not particularly good. Most disappointingly, the bathroom basin was blocked and no one was available when we reported it to mend it. I had to wash and clean my teeth over the bath until the next day.

The hotel is looking a little tired in places considering it is supposed to be 4*. The service was good and staff polite and helpful. I had booked for two rooms for two couples and being family, the surnames were the same. Here lay the first problem, as our luggage was sent to each others rooms. We decided it was easier to swap rooms, rather than move lots of luggage. On checkout, this caused us all sorts of problems, as our fellow guests were given the bill for all the extras. I would warn would-be guests to remove the "optional" gratuities from their bill if they don't want to pay them - they are added automatically. The parking must be a nightmare at busy times. Basically you won't want to move your car during your whole stay, for fear of losing your space. £10 a day for parking, although advised up front, does leave a nasty taste!

A convenient hotel with a good reputation which, in our opinion, struggles to match its aspirations by failing to concentrate on the small details. The food was hot and plentiful but had had better in another Harbour Hotel. We enjoyed our stay but it could have been so much better

Beautiful hotel, lovely rooms, very clean, comfy bed and lovely views of the river. Staff were very professional and interactive. Only down side was the food. It was adequate but not top notch. Also it took a long time to come on some nights. Three quarters of an hour after being seated to starters and then another three quarters of an hour to main course. Saying that we did have a nice bottle of wine with our meal.

Fabulous place amazing staff,good food and smack bang in town.

Hotel was overall very nice, pleasant and members of the team were great (reception staff). However, we had a bit of a mediocre experience at the jetty restaurant where the food didn’t reflect the charges and we had long wait times. Room was nice but some elements need updating such as the hairdryer and the coffee set up. The view though was so good and the complimentary gin on arrival was a really nice touch.
