Harbour Beach Club, Hotel & Spa ★★★★

"The hotel and area was fantastic, however, service at the front desk and the restaurant was lacking. We took a long weekend break and were excited to try the beach club, however our experience was dampened by the service. Being made to stand around for 5 minutes, whilst being told we hadn't paid (when we had) was unnecessary and frankly embarrassing. The restaurant was the most disappointing part of the stay. I'm the evening service was slow, followed by having our order wrong twice and also dropped. Breakfast at the restaurant was lacking compared to cheaper hotels that offer continental. Small selection , nothing outstanding. When we ordered a cooked breakfast, it took 30-40 minutes to receive some eggs and pancakes although the restaurant was fairly quiet. However, the room, facilities, and the spa were fantastic. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The beach club outside was gorgeous. The spa was perfect and treatments were, to quote my partner, 'one of the best massages of my life'. We're unsure if we would come back. Although the facilities were great, the service was mostly subpar and not what we'd expect from a harbour hotel."

"This is my third stay here. I still remember the first time I came here with my girlfriend 10 years ago when I was studying abroad. Standing on the balcony of the top-floor river-view room, looking at the rare golden sands and river estuary views in England. Later, I came with my parents. This is the most unique room I've ever stayed in in England. I highly recommend the top-floor river-view room. It's absolutely great value for money."
