Hotel was overall very nice, pleasant and members of the team were great (reception staff). However, we had a bit of a mediocre experience at the jetty restaurant where the food didn’t reflect the charges and we had long wait times. Room was nice but some elements need updating such as the hairdryer and the coffee set up. The view though was so good and the complimentary gin on arrival was a really nice touch.

Nice hotel and staff made even better with the upgraded room with a view of the estuary. Would recommend paying extra for this type of room if able, Car parking was 'different', as it seemed to be full but just stopped by reception, handed over the keys, and they parked it for us. It did move a couple of times whilst we was there. Did notice there was a charge for parking on our receipt which was a bit unexpected. It is a short walk into Salcombe and its shops, pubs and harbour. Plenty of places to sit and admire the views although i expect it would be very crouded in the summer months. There is very limited parking in Town! We had dinner which although nice, thought was a touch on the expensive side considering i did not see anything that indicated a Michelin or AA awarded restaurant. The room was fantastic with a large balcony which we made use of as we was blessed with wonderful weather. Enjoyed the complimentary Gin and tonic in the room. Nice touch! Bathroom was clean and looked well maintained. No mouldy sealer around the bath. Overall, we had a great one night stay and would recommend.

An excellent hotel with superb views. All the staff were friendly and highly professional - a truly great team. Congratulations also to the chef and his staff, especially the patisserie chef. The food was always excellent and beautifully presented - except for one bland, and uninteresting, pasta dish. We looked forward to dinner, as we thought the food was exceptional. We would specially like to praise our waiter on the night of our anniversary (a Wednesday). He couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel special. Sorry I can’t remember your name but I think you were from Norfolk! I started a very heavy cold so, unfortunately, I felt poorly enough for us to leave a day early so we didn’t get down to dinner, on our last night, to thank him or the rest of the staff. Because of that we were relieved to see that a service charge was levied on our dinner bill. It says everything that our stay was so enjoyable, in spite of illness cutting it short. It was the first time we have stayed with this group but if their other hotels are as good we highly recommend them.

Extremely run down room and balcony. Very very disappointed for £400 per night. Our 25th Wedding anniversary. 5 night stay room 506. I decided to treat ourselves and pay for double deluxe room with balcony and estuary views. The views are stunning. The balcony is disgusting. Worst hotel balcony I have ever seen. Rust, mould, windows filthy, furniture very dirty. We just didn't want to sit in it. The curtains in our room had mould on bottom of them. Our duvet was dirty. It has now been replaced The room smells of stale tobacco or something horrible. The location is fabulous. The staff great but we have today been to sister hotel down road Salcombe beach hotel. That was gorgeous, Immaculate. What I was expecting from our hotel and room. Salcombe Harbour just is run down.needs painting & updating. Very underwhelming and let down for a £400 per night room. I won't be coming back. We have booked Salcombe Beach hotel next month. It's just clean and very well presented.

We loved our visit to the Salcombe Harbour Hotel, in a lovely room with a balcony (which tbh we didn't use much but would be great in the summer) and a stone's throw from the centre of the town, which has a surprising number of shops, bars, restaurants etc. for such a small place. The staff at the hotel were excellent, in particular the reception team who couldn't be more helpful (even when we spilt red wine all over our room 🙈!!). We had dinner at the hotel on the first night, which was very good, and breakfast both days (which TBH was a bit below average for such a high-end hotel but couldn't really grumble as came with the room!). The spa and pool facilities were very good but the spa itself was fully booked whilst we were there so, if you are planning to use it, may be worth booking up in advance/

A lovely hotel with fantastic staff, who go the extra mile. Didn’t use pool or spa but they looked good. Well appointed rooms, had a balcony and great view. Only downside for us was we didn’t think the food was great. It was perfectly edible but not anything special. All in all a lovely place to stay.
