The hotel itself was great, minus a few tweaks. However we had booked a partial sea room, that quite frankly was awfully missold. It was a view of nothing but the wooden balcony. Awful given we paid £50 extra compared to normal room with a view of something! The garden rooms at back were a lot better than this - I’m not sure how they can get away with upselling this room at all - the balcony had zero view, and because of the tall wood no sunlight. We spoke to reception asking if this was a partial sea view room given the description online and photos were very different and reception was not much help. Just “we have passed this on, but that room is indeed a partial sea view”. They seemed completely oblivious to the fact the room has zero view. Apart from this the room was great, and the facilities onsite were good. We were in an accessible room which was well thought out apart from a couple of issues: emergency cords being tied up, the handicap shower having the shower gel, etc 2m away from the shower head so you couldn’t reach this when sat down. The pool was also not accessible for anyone in a wheelchair as there were several steps to get to the spa. It’s a shame given this is a new build they haven’t tried to make it more inclusive. A ramp at the front of the hotel would have been much better than shushing disabled people through the back doors to the lift to reception.
