I loved this hotel and have stayed many times. As stated in other reviews it's not the experience it used to be, although it costs more now. The staff is great, especially Michael at the front desk. But the rooms are dated and run down, the curtains don't block all the light, the mattresses are too soft (a common Marriott issue now). It was sad a few years ago when they closed the LOVELY pool they had to make the room into a meeting room (!) but now that they charge for parking through a third-party app it's just not okay. Why can't this be put on your room as has been standard practice at hotels since they were invented? Why give my personal info to some third-party I don't know? It's also somewhat discriminatory to the elderly and those of us who are tech-averse. I find it incomprehensible in an area away from downtown where a full-parking lot hasn't been an issue in the past. Restaurant seems to have cut-back service so that your only evening option seems to be eating in the bar, though maybe that changes at times/seasons.
