Located in a busy urban area. If you’re looking to have fun and around the city, this is definitely the place for you. The small hotel works really hard to try to cater to their clients. Visiting from Boston and found everyone here to be super friendly and nice. Especially the night watchman Joseph

Urlaubsreise mit der Bahn. Das Hotel liegt fußläufig vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt an einer ruhigen Straße. Das Zimmer war nach hinten gerichtet und sehr ruhig. Das Personal von der Rezeption und vom Restaurant war sehr freundlich und ging auf jeden Wunsch ein. Die Betten im Zimmer waren sehr komfortabel. Die Reinigung erfolgte jeden Tag. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig. Es wurde in einem liebevoll gestalteten Raum eingenommen, der durch die Kerzenleuchten und den individellen Kronleuchtern an der Decke eine gewisse Gemütlichkeit ausstrahlte. Jedenfalls war ich sehr zufrieden und kann das Hotel nur jedem weiterempfehlen.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in Salzburg und das Hotel Scherer hat seinen Teil dazu beigetragen. Die Chefinnen und das Personal waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Unser Zimmer war zwar kein aber ausreichend, unser Bett sehr bequem mit guten Matratzen (mittlere Härtegrad), das Bad war neu renoviert und alles war super sauber. Das Frühstück lies keine Wünsche offen. Unser Auto hatten wir auf dem hoteleigenen Parkplatz abgestellt und waren mit dem öffentlichen Bus unterwegs. Die nächste Bushaltestelle mit guter Anbindung in die Altstadt liegt direkt an der nächsten Straßenecke. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

I was about to give one more star to this hotel but at the checkout, surprise, the white lady said I haven't paid... I replied I had already done so... She said no I hadn't pay. Then she also mention the city tax... I said I paid everything already including the city tax... Then, and only at that moment, she started to check her record and she said oh you paid. Then she said people can make mistake. I said yes, but she should have checked first before she replied and insisted...
Now I remember this very same lady made me wait 10 min to get the key when I was tired getting back from outside because she was busy talking...
It's a pity these things happened. It's also pity the hotel put this kind of people at the reception. I guess she may also don't like Asian people, not too say she hate them. Other people are nice and hotel is quite good, well renovated and good breakfast.
The price is too high compared to the room, service and breakfast.
I would not come back here again. If you can choose, go to another hotel.
And don't forget, beware at the checkout if you have already paid. Keep you receipt ...
