Facilities: The decoration is luxurious and elegant. Many music masters and celebrities have stayed here. The location is convenient, just opposite Mozart's birthplace. The breakfast is rich and exquisite. Parking is in the public underground parking lot behind, which is very close and there are parking coupons.

The hotel is antique, and the actual decoration is relatively new, much better than the photos! The service is also quite good. Opposite the door is Mozart's former residence and Mirabell Garden, which is very convenient.

This historic hotel has a lovely bar and a decent restaurant. The rooms face either the square across from Mozart's birthplace (not to be confused with Mozart's House) - or - Mirabell Gardens (mostly). If you face the square you will hear bells every hour and some half hours and sometimes for no apparent reason. Apparently Salzburg has about 29 churches and they all have bells. If you don't mind bells - the views are incredible. If you prefer quiet - pick a hotel further away from the city centers/squares. The rooms are well appointed and the in-room breakfast options are fantastic. The staff here are top-notch. You will feel the luxury and history of this establishment in everything they do. BONUS: There is a taxi stand/queue directly across the street from the entrance, so if you need transport to a venue or restaurant it is easy peasy.

Let’s see, was it the warm & friendly greeting at the front desk, or the luxurious old style - not cookie cutter - sleeping room, or the delicious house made cookies left on a plate in our room to welcome us? Was it the fast and friendly service at the bar after a pleasant & scenic but long day on the train? Was it the friendly front desk staff who kindly charged our phones when we forgot our chargers? Was it the free ice cold water in theroom refrigerator? Or was it the absolutely outstanding free breakfast in the morning that included mimosas (bout a 40 euro pp value here alone!)? Or was it that we were left without question to sit and enjoy in the lobby and watch people go by, have a lemonade to sip, and wait for our departure to the train? It had to be all of these that made Hotel Bristol an outstanding five star experience A to Z — that is unfortunately often not found anymore even at five star properties. Thank you Hotel Bristol for making our time in Salzburg so very memorable. With your close and easy location to restaurants, sites, and the old town, I can guarantee you we will be back again on our next visit to Salzburg.

Fantastisches Hotel mit viel Charme und tollem Service. Im Zentrum von Salzburg gelegen, haben wir hier 4 Tage Urlaub gemacht. Wer große Kronleuchter, Wandgemälde und historisches Ambiente liebt, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Gutes, abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Sauber und diskret. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Parken ist kein Problem, wir haben die vom Hotel empfohlene Tiefgarage in unmittelbarer Nähe genutzt. Unser Tip für Ausflüge & Kultur: Festung besichtigen, Schloss Hellbrunn (Wasserspiele) und am /neben dem Dom, im Stift, abends: Dinner & Mozart Benrd & Sabine / Deutschland

My wife and I had a memorable 2 day stay at the Bristol, with it's unrivaled location across the road from Mozart house, the Mirabell Palace & Gardens are just behind, & the river/bridge to Old Town closeby. The hotel exudes discrete luxury & tradition, with carefully curated artwork throughout. Our "Imperial room" on the 3rd floor was comfortable , except the shower area with the step was slightly awkward (need to be careful to avoid slipping); & bathroom could do with more amenities. Staff were friendly & helpful, especially those at reception. Buffet Breakfast was good, & the croissants excellent. One final comment: the hotel has an excellent pianist who plays at the bar & lobby area, with a wide repertoire of classical & more contemporary music Highly recommended

Had a delightful stay at Hotel Bristol. Great location and well within walking distance to the Altstadt. Mirabell Gardens located right next to the hotel. Parking was a breeze and definitely recommend using the valet parking. Enjoyed the live piano in the bar in the evenings and breakfast was exceptional. Would definitely stay here again.
