Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt im Hotel & Villa Auersperg. Perfekt gelegen (ruhig aber super zentral) wurden wir überaus herzlich im Hotel empfangen. Man hatte das Gefühl als Gast wirklich geschätzt zu werden und unseren Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu gestalten. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, jeder überaus aufmerksam und zuvorkommend und das Hotel an sich hat einen tollen, individuellen Charme. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Or stay live up to the expectations we had from all the positive reviews - close to a pedestrianised shopping/eating area and around 10/15 mins walk from the old town. We stayed in a villa room which was beautifully decorated and appointed with everything you could need and more - fluffy towels, great shower, proper hairdryer and a big comfy bed were some of the high quality basics, then extras like a Nespresso machine and Bluetooth music player we're cherries on top. Breakfast was just lovely, plenty of choice from a diverse and high quality buffet. We had drinks and food in the small but gorgeous bear area, and also visited the spa area once (small sauna and steam room with a more spacious area for chilling). We were very happy with our Salzberg choice and would have no hesitation in recommending it. (Also we were travelling by train and the hotel was a straightforward 15 mins walk with bags away).

Zum 3. Mal im Hotel Auersberg und es war wieder wunderschön. Vom herzlichen Empfang über die Parkmöglichkeiten mit Ladestation bis zum traumhaften Frühstück auf der Terrasse. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Hotel nur empfehlen..

Came from the U.S. and didn't know really what to expect. Hotel was even better than we expected. Do your self a favor and get the breakfast package! It is a fantastic offering and a great way to start every morning. Hotel "spa" was a great way to end each day of sight-seeing. There were 5 of us in total across 2 rooms. You know when are sad to leave it was a great experience.

Excellent Hotel, beautiful atmosphere and very cosy, we simply loved it. The breakfast is excellent and the whole service too. Perfect location between the Banhof and the city center. Rooms very well equipped and comfortable.

Overall a lovely stay with a few caveats. There are stairs into the main hotel and more up to the reception so if you struggle with heavy luggage, it may be an issue (no one offers to help). Again to go to the villa, where we stayed, there are multiple steps up into that building and no help with luggage. The room was good - well appointed with heated towel rack and floors. Nice rain head shower and the dressing room/closet space was a place. Breakfast was good with a big variety and gluten free options for my celiac daughter. Service at breakfast was rude on the first day but improved on the weekend. Overall the staff were hit or miss - some very pleasant and others much more curt. The spa was beautiful but the sauna temperature was insane … much too hot even for sauna lovers! The steam room was better but not always clean. The walk from the villa to the spa is awkward if you don’t want to change your clothes from your spa-wear and get dressed again in the tiny locker room — you wind up traipsing through the lobby and into the street and around to the other building in a bathrobe. Not ideal. The garden area is adorable and fresh honey (beekeeping on site) was a big plus. So with some minor issues, an overall favorable stay. Quiet and off the beaten path but easy to walk to the sites and old town, and quick Uber to train or airport and anywhere else you might need to go.

Very brief Really was perfect for us. A hotel close to to station (11 minute walk) but close to the centre of Salzburg a 15 minute stroll. Perfect breakfast for choice and quality and no fuss service. Room lovely big bed and bath with seating area. Everything looked and felt new Not in the buzz but an easy walk to town

This hotel is such a lovely place to stay in Salzburg. It is on a quiet street very close to the city center and the Old Town. We were there in December and there are wonderful Christmas markets. This part of the city is very walkable. The hotel staff were excellent, professional and friendly and very helpful. I encourage you to add the breakfast as it is worth the extra euros. The building, while vintage, has been thoroughly updated. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. We loved it here
