I stayed at a relatively satisfactory hotel during my multi-country tour in Europe. The mountain road leading up to the small castle is very easy to park. The hotel has its own small parking lot. As soon as we entered, the staff welcomed us warmly and allowed us to sit in the bar and provide free welcome drinks. The hotel is said to have existed in the 14th century and has been renovated and well maintained. There is a beautiful fountain in front of the gate, which feels aristocratic. There should be more than twenty rooms in total. The rooms are clean and warm, and the view outside the small balcony is the entrance garden. There was also a fruit plate and personal welcome letter to welcome us in the room. It is worth mentioning that the restaurant in the hotel has one Michelin star, and the food is very delicious. It is outstanding among many Michelin restaurants that I have tasted. In addition to the dishes ordered, there are many appetizers and petit fours small desserts given away. There are also many types of breakfast (breakfasts in Europe are generally relatively single), and you can even order foie gras, caviar, steak, etc. a la carte. Generally speaking, the service is very warm, and you can feel the sincerity and enthusiasm of the service staff. It can be said that it is very touching to spend Christmas on an overseas vacation.

We are so happy that we booked our stay at the Hotel Schloss Monchstein! We celebrated our 40th anniversary here. The staff were amazing!! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. A special mention of front office manager Aline Sernatinger! She upgraded us to the best suite Ive ever stayed in, it was truly special. We have stayed at some of the most exclusive & expenses hotels , none compared to our experience here! Thank you all for making our special celebration truly special!!!!

We stayed for just one night ahead of a vacation with a tour group. After 2 flights and 2 trains to get to Salzburg, we were looking for a quiet place to relax. The staff were exceptional - we were greeted with champagne, our bags were brought directly to our room and our room was upgraded from a standard suite to a castle suite. The bed was a little on the firm side, just the way we like it. The staff gave us recommendations for dinner close to the hotel and free passes to use the elevator to take us down the mountain. We made the mistake of not reserving dinner reservations onsite in advance and the restaurant was fully booked for dinner by our 2pm arrival. After an early dinner, we came back to our room around 6:30 and within an hour we were both fast asleep for the next 12 hours. On checkout the next morning, the staff held our luggage while we spent the day exploring the nearby fortress. When we returned in the afternoon, they helped us with getting a cab to our next location.
Our room was fantastic, with a seating/dining area, comfortable king-sized bed and huge bathroom with walk-in closet, separate toilet, and freestanding tub under a huge, arched window.
The hotel grounds were equally as fantastic with the infinity pool, hot tub and several outdoor dining/seating spaces.
The location is quiet and remote, but surprisingly easy to access. Wooded paths from the hotel lead to the Modern Art Museum and Fortress.

What a wonderful experience at Schloss Mönchstein fr the moment arrived.
The staff was top notch, we had a glass of wine while our luggage was brought to the room. The room was perfect and made us feel like we were staying in a castle. Great pool and again everyone in the hotel was so pleasant and helpful.
Thank you for really making this a great vacation get away.

Once again, the Hotel Schloss Monchstein exceeded our expectations! This by far is one of my favorite hotels in the world! They made my husband‘s 50th birthday so special. The property is breathtaking and the service goes above and beyond! Amazing breakfast and wonderful rooms. I had a fantastic massage! The breakfast is incredible. It’s the little touches, though, that really mean so much. The chocolates and sweet notes, the fruit in our rooms, the welcome glass of champagne and all the smiling faces, that are so very thoughtful! It’s truly heaven on earth!

When we booked this for our anniversary trip, we knew it would be a great spot in Salzburg but we weren't ready for the level of personal service and care the staff took to make sure our time was more than special. From the checking process, to the room setup, to the food, and help with directions they made us feel like we were the only guests. The staff was not stuffy but friendly and aways remembered our names. You definitely get what you paid for and more at this property.
