We had a great experience. Host is very friendly and considerate. The host went out of the way to arrange vegetarian food for us. Its a little away from centre but easily accessible via taxis which is very cheap. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, there is a big courtyard with trees. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed a lot. No complaints. Their home made jam is just awesome.

After ringing the front door bell more or less constantly for 20 min., I decided to try the shops and residential buildings in the area instead, and after 20-25 min. I managed to find a youth who knew the owner and he managed to get hold of a member of the staff at the hostel.
The staff were friendly, but were no always present at the hostel during my stay.
I was also bothered by the stale air in the dorm.

Colibri exceeded our expectations! Everything was great at this Guest House. It's clean, quiet, and surrounded by many restaurants, mini markets. Easy access to many attractions. Abduaziz runs the place with his father. He was fantastic. Great attitude, extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful, and always available. He speaks fluent English and suggested many fun activities for us. The host has a beautiful big family. We got to eat fresh cooked breakfasts right out of their kitchen every morning in the beautiful yard under cherry trees, persimmon trees and grape vines. We were lucky enough to eat the fresh grapes :) Also a cat and her two kittens were playing in the yard. Colibri also offer pick-ups/drop-offs to the airport or train station with very reasonable price. I highly recommend this place!

I would like to say a huge thank you on behalf of all our female employees of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan who stayed with you from May 7 to May 9, 2022. The Guest House is decorated according to European standards, but you still managed to preserve the national flavor. We were delighted with your delicious breakfast. I was especially pleased with the attitude of the inhabitants of this House - friendly, responsive and very open. We decided that if we were planning a trip to Samarkand, we would stay exclusively in this House. We would like to wish the organizer, especially the admin Abduaziz, good luck!
